WoW Classic First Aid Leveling Guide 1-300

WoW First-Aid

First Aid is something many players do not pay any attention to but partake in, nonetheless. Gamers are introduced into this profession from the very beginning through bandaging. This field allows adventurers to do manaless healing, so they don’t need to spend essential resources too much. As one of the secondary professions in the game, people should pay more attention to leveling this field since they will benefit significantly from doing so. This WoW Classic First Aid Leveling guide will help players make the most of this profession.

What is First Aid?

This field is one of the three secondary professions, along with Fishing and Cooking. These life skills do not take up any profession slot, so there will be a lot of room for primary types. First Aid specifically helps players create various items and potions that can be used for recovery. These consumables are extremely helpful, especially during dire emergencies.

First Aid is mainly used for crafting bandages and anti-venoms, which gamers can use anytime. In addition, this field also allows players to use these recovery things on NPCs and other adventurers nearby. Many high-level characters still use these items even after certain milestones. Low-level players and beginners will significantly benefit from progressing and learning the ins and outs of this field.

First Aid provides many other benefits that adventurers can take advantage of. Conserving mana is the main advantage of investing in this field. Classes with healing abilities, such as Hunters and Warlocks, can resort to using bandages instead of using their curing abilities during combat breaks. This system is beneficial in instances such as dungeons, raids, and PvP situations because mana conservation is important in these modes.

In addition to being incredibly beneficial in raids, First Aid can also be helpful for players with twink characters. Alt characters will be able to gain access to more powerful bandages from other characters with high levels in this profession. This system will help lower level alts gain more levels more securely and safely.

How to Start Leveling First Aid?

Like every profession in the game, players will need to learn the skill before they can start doing any activities related to it. Fortunately, there are no level requirements for getting into this field. The first thing players need to do is search for a First Aid Trainer to integrate them into the practice. Here is the list of trainers per faction:

Alliance

  • Thammer Pol in Kharanos at Dun Morogh
  • Nissa Firestone around the Great Forge at Ironforge
  • Michelle Belle in Goldshire at Elwynn Forest
  • Fremal Doohickey in Wetlands
  • Byancie in Dolanaar at Teldrassil
  • Dannelor in the Craftmen’s Terrace at Darnassus
  • Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Theramore at Dustwallow Marsh

Horse

  • Rawrk in Razor Hill at Durotar
  • Arnok in Valley of Spirits at Durotar
  • Nurse Neela in Brill at Tirisfal Glades
  • Mary Edras in Rogue’s Quarter at Undercity
  • Vira Younghoof in Bloodhoof Village at Mulgore
  • Pand Stonebinder in Spirit Rise at Thunder Bluff
  • Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall at Arathi Highlands

First Aid Ranks

Like any profession, this field also features a ranking system. Gamers can gain access to recipes for more powerful bandages as they level up this skill. Here are all the ranks in this profession:

  • Apprentice (Lvl 1 to 75)
  • Journeyman (Lvl 75 to 150)
  • Expert (Lvl 150 to 225)
  • Artisan (Lvl 225 to 300)

Players can only reach the next phase of each tier by talking to trainers. Adventurers should note that not all First Aid NPCs can teach them Expert and Artisan skills. There are certain designated trainers who players will need to find.

How to Level Up from 1 to 300?

Leveling up in this profession is straightforward, but it can be expensive if players don’t have the necessary materials on them. The fastest way to rank up is to simply buy essential ingredients. Otherwise, players can gather them by hand. Here are the steps to reaching level 300 in this profession:

Level 1 to 75

  • Level 1 to 40: Craft 50 Linen Bandage (requires 50 Linen Cloths)
  • Level 40 to 75: Craft 45 Heavy Linen Cloth (requires 90 Linen Cloth)
  • Talk to a Trainer upon reaching level 75 to learn Journeyman First Aid

Level 75 to 150

  • Level 75 to 80: Craft 15 Heavy Linen Bandage (requires 30 Linen Cloths)
  • Level 80 to Level 115: Craft 60 Wool Bandage (requires 60 Wool Cloth)
  • Level 115 to 150: Craft 60 Heavy Wool Bandage (requires 120 Wool Cloth)

Players will gain more experience points at this phase from crafting bandages made of silk and mageweave. Unfortunately, the recipe for this item is not readily available, and gamers will have to learn how to make it. Gamers can buy the Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage schematics from specific vendors. Alliance players should look for Deneb Walker in Arathi Highlands, while Horde characters should locate Balai Lok’Wein in Dustwallow Marsh. Alternatively, players can buy them from the auction.

Aside from acquiring these recipes, players should also buy Expert First Aid – Under Wraps, which allows characters to reach Expert in First Aid. This is a major step since gamers cannot progress further if they do not do this.

Level 150 to 225

  • Level 150 to 180: Craft 50 Silk Bandage (requires 50 Silk Cloth)
  • Make sure to use the Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage recipes at this point
  • Level 180 to 210: Craft 50 Heavy Silk Bandage (requires 100 Silk Cloth)
  • Level 210 to 225: Craft 30 Mageweave Bandage (requires 30 Mageweave Cloth)

Level 225 to 300

Unlike the previous phases, getting to 300 and reaching Artisan skill in First Aid can be more complicated. This is mainly because unlocking the final tier requires players to do quests instead of just learning it. Aspiring Artisans must complete the Triage mission line to ascend to the last phase. Here are the requirements to be eligible for this quest series:

  • Learn Classic First Aid Above 225
  • Reach Level 35 with the Character Being Used

Once these conditions have been satisfied, players can now initiate the questline by accepting the Alliance Trauma (Alliance Players) or Horde Trauma (Horde Players). These introductory talks will lead them to the starting point of interest for the Triage quest in either Dustwallow Marsh or Arathi Highlands.

Note: Players should already bring all the materials for the quests and for reaching level 290. Gamers will need exactly 100 Mageweave Cloth and at least 70 Runecloth.

Alliance players need to interact with Dr. Gustaf VanHowzen in Theramore Isle. For Horde characters, they need to find Doctor Gregory Victor in the Undercity. The bread-crumb mission here is optional and is not required for progression. The Triage quest can be complicated due to the conditions needed to clear it.

The main objective is to have players heal 15, but they must do so before six patients expire. Fortunately, this mission can be attempted multiple times. Players need to use Triage Bandage for this mission. Here are some tips to clear this task quickly:

  • Activate the health bar by pressing Ctrl + V to display the HP of the patients so that players can easily monitor the NPCs
  • Try increasing the perspective by getting out of third-person POV.
  • Bind the Triage Bandage to an action bar
  • As much as possible, work in the middle to access more patients.
  • Prioritize certain NPCs to avoid failing. Critically Injured > Badly Injured > Injured > Just Spawned. Activate the “Show NPC Names” for this.
  • As soon as 15 patients are saved, turn in the quest immediately to avoid failing the mission. The task will still fail even if players reach the quote if they still wait for six patients to die.

Completing this quest will reward gamers with Artisan First Aid, which will allow access to more recipes.

Level 225 to 300

At this phase, players need to acquire three recipes. These are the Heavy Mageweave Bandages, Runecloth Bandages, and Heavy Runecloth Bandages recipes. They can be bought from either Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen or from Doctor Gregory Victor.

  • Level 225 to 240: Craft 30 Mageweave Bandage (requires 30 Mageweave Cloth)
  • Level 240 to 260: Craft 30 Heavy Mageweave Bandage (requires 60 Mageweave Cloth)
  • Level 260 to 290: Craft 50 Runecloth Bandage (requires 50 Runecloth)
  • Level 290 to 300: Craft 15 Heavy Runecloth Bandage (requires 30 Rune Cloth)

All Available Crafting Items

While First Aid players do not have much to create, they can produce essential consumables that are needed in many situations. Here are all the things that can be crafted in this profession:

  • Linen Bandage
  • Heavy Linen Bandage
  • Anti-Venom
  • Wool Bandage
  • Heavy Wool Bandage
  • Strong Anti-Venom
  • Silk Bandage
  • Heavy Silk Bandage
  • Mageweave Bandage
  • Heavy Mageweave Bandage
  • Runecloth Bandage
  • Heavy Runecloth Bandage
  • Powerful Anti-Venom

Note: Power Anti-Venom can only be crafted at First Aid 300 skill level. The Formula: Powerful Anti-Venom can be bought from specific vendors. However, players will also need an Honored standing with the Argent Dawn faction. Here are the NPCs that sell the recipe:

  • Quartermaster Miranda Breechlock in Eastern Plaguelands
  • Argent Quartermaster Lightspark in Western Plaguelands
  • Argent Quartermaster Hasana in Tirisfal Glades

First Aid is an essential professional. Despite being a secondary field, the benefits of progressing in this skill will benefit anyone. Following this guide will players reach the max skill level in no time!
