Warframe Tellurium Farm Guide 2024

tellurium farm guide

Players will need Tellurium to craft some of the game's most powerful weapons and equipment. Unfortunately, this material is one of the game's rarest resources, with meager drop chances in any known loot table. However, you should still actively seek out this item due to its various uses. This guide will help players learn where and how to farm Warframe Tellurium efficiently.

What is Tellurium?

Many see Tellurium as one of the rarest materials in Warframe. It is usually used in crafting Archwings and making some of the strongest space suits. Due to its rarity, you only have limited options to grind the material. Even in places that drop this material, players will find that the resource’s low drop chances make the grind excruciating.

Tellurium can be obtained through multiple sources, but some have meager drop chances or little loot quantity. You want to focus on the ones that can yield the most per run or easily be repeated within periods. Here is the loot table for Tellurium:

Aside from these missions, specific monsters also drop TelluriumAny mission involving Archwings, Grineer Sealabs, and Grineer Kuva Fortress can also provide this material, so prioritize systems with these tasks. While you can get Tellurium from other places, some rarely have good farming spots, so you want to prioritize some of the others.

Best Warframe Tellurium Farms

Due to its rarity and varying drop chances, we want to focus on specific missions and enemies to maximize our chances of getting Tellurium. The previous loot details don’t feature Archwing missions, but they should be what we need to farm the most. Otherwise, we want to use Sealabs for efficient grinds with fewer chances. Here are the best farms to get Tellurium in Warframe:

Killing Enemies in Survival Missions in Ophelia, Uranus

Any survival mission in Uranus has more chances to drop Tellurium than other survival tasks in different systems. However, you need to go to the underwater parts of these quests or be in Sealabs to ensure you can get one or two drops. While we list this route as a good farm, you will need to kill tons of enemies to get a few Tellurium, so you want to use Warframes that can quickly clear out swathes of mobs within a few bursts.

Almost all enemies in these missions have a 0.2% chance of dropping Tellurium. While the percentage is low, the number of enemies present compensates for this. You will have to keep repeating these missions to maximize your chances.

Do Archwing Mobile Defense in Salacia, Neptune

As mentioned earlier, Archwing missions have a high chance of dropping Tellurium, especially those with swarms of enemies. The one on Salacia, Neptune, has the best rotations due to the abundance of mobs you can farm. While the drop percentages are still low, you can optimize your chances using mods like Resource Booster and Resource Drop Chance Booster.

Any Map with Hidden Caches (Sabotage and Exterminate Missions)

If you aren’t keen on doing the previous tasks, you can do Sabotage and Exterminate missions with many resource caches. The key here is to blitz through every map and focus on destroying containers while finishing objectives. Resource caches can have varying loot, so you aren’t guaranteed to get Tellurium. You want to repeat these missions as often as possible and use Warframes with fast movement speed and mobility skills.

Best Strategies for Farming Tellurium

Aside from farming specific locations and missions, there are several strategies that you can employ to increase your farming rate. These tactics can range from utilizing in-game features to using specific companions. Here are the best strategies for farming Tellurium in Warframe:

Farm in Squads

It would help to always run in Squads unless you are doing Resource Cache runs. Doing missions with friends increases the spawn rate of enemies, which means having more mobs to slay for additional drops. While missions get more challenging, the increase in density significantly helps your grind. However, do not run into a party if you are targeting Resource Caches because you don’t want enemies blocking your way as you blitz through the map for the containers.

Use Smeeta Kavat

This cat companion has a Charm passive that gives players good fortune. Usually, this results in the Kavat giving their owners resources like Tellurium and Argon Crystals. The only catch is that it has a 27-second cooldown, which is quite long if you are speedrunning maps. However, the chance of passively getting Tellurium is too hard to ignore, so you should consider bringing a Smeeta Kavat to missions.

Use Sentinels for Spare Parts

Despite being nerfed, having Sentinels with Spare Parts mod is still a good source for farming Tellurium. Initially, the augment lets the robotic companion drop the rarest resources on the map every time they die. Previously, players would continuously let their Sentinels die and revive until they resurrections to farm Tellurium. However, the passive now functions differently.

In the current version, Spare Parts lets Sentinels mark enemies for five seconds, and these tagged foes have a 200% chance of dropping a rare resource. If you are lucky, this ability has a 15-second cooldown to get four Tellurium within a minute. However, the resource is not a guaranteed drop, especially if it's not the rarest material on the map.

Use Warframes like Nekros or Hydroid

Some Warframes increase the chances of enemies dropping due to their abilities. Nekros and Hydroid are considered the best frames to use when farming items in the game. Nekros’ Desecrate ability increases the loot drops from enemies, which boosts the quality and quantity of loot from slain foes. Meanwhile, Hydroid has a Pilfering Swarm augment that increases the loot drop from enemies when you use his tentacle attacks.

Activate the Steel Path

The Steel Path is a mission modifier that increases the difficulty of any mission. If you activate this difficulty setting, enemies become more robust, durable, and powerful. The loot quality and quantity increase when this mod is active, which helps you farm TelluriumIt would help if you only did this when you have a fully modded Warframe and upgraded weapons.
