Warframe Gauss Prime Farm: How to Get All Gauss Prime Relics

warframe gauss prime

Everyone loves fast Warframes with excellent shields, which is why many players want Gauss Prime. The primed variant gives the already overpowered Gauss base form a further upgrade, making it even more powerful. These improved versions are hard to get, so players will have to put in the work to get this armor. This guide will help Tennos farm the necessary materials for Gauss Prime.

Gauss Prime Overview

Gauss Prime is a movement-based Warframe that generates kinetic energy for offensive and defensive purposes. This armor also has the fastest sprint speed among all frames, sporting excellent defensive shielding. Here are the stats for this Primed Gauss version:

Basic Stats

  • Health: 270 to 370 (scales on level)
  • Shields: 550 to 650 (scales on level)
  • Armor: 185
  • Energy: 175 to 225 (scales on level)
  • Sprint Speed: 1.5
  • Starting Energy: 100

Abilities

  • Mach Rush – Energizes the Warframe to enable a burst hyper-sprint while charging the battery. This ability also generates a powerful shockwave when colliding with solid obstacles.
  • Kinetic Plating – Uses armor plating that converts a percentage of absorbed Kinetic damage to energy while preventing stagger and knock-down effects.
  • Thermal Sunder – Uses the battery to drain kinetic energy from the surrounding area to apply Cold status or to release energy to inflict Heat Status.
  • Redline – Surges the Warframe’s abilities by overdriving its fire rate, attack speed, reload speed, and holster rate, then causing an explosion once the ability deactivates

How to Get Gauss Prime

There are two ways to get Gauss Prime, three if you are willing to spend money on it. The first way is to farm all the necessary relics and then use them on Void Fissure missions to open them. The second is to trade items to earn Platinum to buy the set from other people. The third is to purchase Plats with real-world money or get Prime Access, so you can immediately exchange them with others.

Gauss Prime Relic Farming and Crafting

The most common way to get Gauss Prime is to farm and open all the required relics. These items can be obtained in various places and missions. Here are all the materials you need for the Primed Gauss and how to farm them:

Axi B7 Farm

Axi Relics are commonly needed when priming a Warframe. While you can get different parts from many places, you only need the B7 component for Gauss Prime. Here are the best farm methods for this relic:

  • Excavation on Heiracon, Pluto – highest chance of getting Axi drops
  • Interception on Xini, Eros – doesn't have the highest drop rates but is easiest and fastest to clear
  • Cetus Bounty on Earth – high chance of dropping recent Axi relics
  • Fortuna Bounty on Venus – high chance of dropping contemporary Axi relics
  • Interception on Mithra, Void – high reward if you utilize the Mithra cheese method here

Lith G9 Farm

Players know that Lith Relics are easy to farm, and they probably already have an abundant collection. However, there are times when you are forced to find a specific component, especially when new Primes come out. Since you need G9 for Gauss Prime, you should revisit early farming routes. Here are the best ways to grind Lith relics:

  • Capture, Exterminate, and Defense on Hepit, Teshub, and Taranis – have 100% drop rates for Lith relics
  • Elite Sanctuary Onslaught – Not 100% drop rate but has a 65% chance to reward a radianted Lith relic.

Meso H5 Farm

Tennos knows that Meso relics are the most complicated components to farm in the game. It can be highly infuriating to grind for these materials, especially if you are looking for a specific one. While no missions have 100% drop rates, some quests have higher loot percentages than most. Here are the best places to farm Meso H5 relic:

  • Defense on Io, Jupiter – fastest waves to clear and only requires you to do the first ten waves for the optimal chance of getting Meso relics.
  • Defense on Paimon, Europa – has the same rates as Io but has lower-level enemies. However, drop ships tend to spawn, which can make waves longer.
  • Capture on Ukko, Void – only has a 50% drop chance but is extremely fast to complete, so prioritize speed for multiple quick runs.

Neo W1 Relic Farm

Neo are the easiest relics to farm due to their abundance in various missions. You probably won’t have trouble collecting them, especially if you are doing runs for other relics like Meso or Axi. However, players must farm Neo components when new Prime versions, like Gauss Prime, are out. Here are the best places to grind Neo W1:

  • Interception on Mithra, Void – has a 100% drop chance on both A and B rotations
  • Cetus Bounty on Earth – exclusively drops the latest relic with a high loot percentage
  • Fortuna Bounty on Venus – exclusively drops the latest relic with a high loot percentage

The grind doesn’t stop after you have collected all these items. After obtaining these relics, you need to use them in Void Fissure missions to open them. Once you’ve finished the runs for all four relics, you can get Gauss Prime.

You must equip one at a time and go on missions to obtain Reactants. Players need to collect 10 of these to open a Relic. Upon completing the mission, you will be given a selection of random options from your currently equipped component, so make sure you select the ones needed for Gauss Prime (Axi B7, Lith G9, Meso H5, and Neo W1).

How Much Resources Do You Need to Craft Gauss Prime

Collecting the Relics isn’t the only thing you need to do to craft Gauss Prime. Players must also farm or save on specific resources after obtaining all four components. Here is everything you need to prepare Gauss Prime finally:

  • 70,000 Credits
  • 5,500 Allow Plate
  • 4,975 Nano Spores
  • 3,800 Salvage
  • 1,425 Polymer Bundle
  • 1,150 Circuit
  • 1,100 Rubedo
  • 600 Cryotic
  • 450 Plastid
  • 5 Orokin Cells
  • 3 Control Module
  • 2 Tellurium
  • 2 Argon Crystal

On top of all these resources, you must wait 108 hours to finish the crafting process.

Sell Platinum to Buy Gauss Prime

Players who aren’t keen on farming Relics can buy the Warframe from others. This will cost them around 150 to 200 Platinum, but prices should decrease if you wait a few more months. You can earn money in various ways to ensure that you have enough to get a Gauss Prime. Here are some of the best methods to earn Platinum:

  • Selling Riven Mods, Aya, and Arcanes – These items are used to improve gear and obtain better Relics. There will always be demand for these things.
  • Trade Kuva Liches/Tenet Sisters – Ephemera variants are the most profitable for this trade option.
  • Farm and Sell Prime Parts – You can sell them separately or craft them into Warframes before trading. The latter option is more profitable, but the process takes longer since you must farm the needed materials and spend many resources.

Buying Platinum or Prime Access

If you want to use Gauss Prime immediately, you can buy it by getting Prime Access. Aside from Gauss, you also gain Primed versions of Acceltra and Akarius. However, since Prime Access is a rotation feature, these items won’t last forever in the official shop, so you might have to wait for the next cycle if you missed it during this season. If you want to get your hands on Gauss Prime, you can buy Platinum directly and trade it for the Warframe.
