League of Legends TFT Set 11: How to play Senna reroll

Senna has been one of the most reliable carries in TFT Set 11, especially after Inkshadows were buffed. She became one of the best two-cost reroll units that can easily contend with other 4-costs. If you aren’t familiar yet with this comp and want to learn how to use it, this guide will show you how to play the Senna Reroll in Set 11.

Senna Reroll Overview

This comp revolves around obtaining a 3-star Senna before Stage 5. The team is a 2-cost reroll comp, which means you generally want to stay around level 6 for several rounds to maximize your chances of getting Senna. Her full synergy requires six Ghostly active and three Inkshadows, which you can do around level 8.

This composition is strong throughout any match but will require you to find good verticals to cement your win. Adding units like Udyr and Sett can boost your frontline power and ensure your top-one position. However, it would help if you looked at other boards before locking in the Senna Reroll comp.

When to Run Senna Reroll

Reroll comps are easy to cost, especially if you have built enough econ and decent HP. But to maximize your chances of placing in the top 4, you should know the optimal conditions to run the Senna Reroll. Here are prerequisites you should have before deciding on when to run the comp:

  • You found two or more copies of Senna during Stage 2.
  • You obtained Senna items from minions or augments (Sparring Gloves, BF Sword, Recurve Bow, etc.).
  • You have a Ghostly Emblem or an Inkshadow Emblem.

Having at least one of these conditions helps you build your comp successfully. However, having all three should guarantee a top-three win if you play the game right. You should be wary if someone is also running the same reroll comp because being contested will lower your chances of getting a 3-star Senna.

How to Play Senna Reroll

Early Game Plan

Senna Reroll mainly relies on good positioning and slow rolling. As a 2-cost reroll, you want to get to level 6 by Stage 3 and stay there until you get 3-star units. Your first goal is to save up to 50 gold, so you have enough econ to slow roll for Senna. Your comp should stabilize with four Ghostly and three Inkshadow traits active. By level 6, here is the composition you need:

  • Caitlyn
  • Jax
  • Senna
  • Shen
  • Aatrox
  • Illaoi

These six units will let you stabilize your build until Stage 4. It’s best if you have Shen, Senna, Aatrox, and Caitlyn be at 2-star to work optimally during this stage. At this point, you want to slow roll above 50 gold at level 6 and stay at this level as long as possible because it offers the highest drop chance for 2 costs in the shop. Ideally, you only go to level 7 when you 3-star your Senna, Caitlyn, and Shen. You don’t need to max out Aatrox and Jax, but you should still do it if possible.

Mid Game Plan

By Stage 4, you must decide whether to level up or stay at 6. If you have trouble finding Senna copies, you can compensate by activating synergies. If you have a Ghostly emblem and a Morgana/Kayn, you can go level 7 even if you don’t have 3-star 2 costs yet, so you can activate 6 Ghostly and 3 Inkshadow. However, if you are just two or three copies away from a 3-star Senna or Shen, you can stay at level 6 to maximize your chances.

Closely monitor your HP and level up if you are losing too much health. If you aren’t high-rolling your units, you can focus on getting a 3-star Senna and Shen. You can also aim for Kayn or Morgana's carry if you don’t get a 3-star Caitlyn. When you have six Ghostly and three Inkshadows activated, you can try rerolling for 3-star units again.

Note: You get lower shop chances for 2-star units from level 7 and above, so you must weigh carefully if you need to level.

Late Game Plan

Once you get your three core units to 3-star, you want to reach level 8 while maintaining a healthy economy. You’ll want to activate six Ghostly by adding Morgana and Kayn. Add Sett, Lissandra, or Wukong to your 9th unit if you have more space. If you get an Udyr, you can replace Jax with him to activate Behemoth. Here is a sample final composition to help you win the game:

6 Ghostly 3 Inkshadows

  • Caitlyn
  • Senna
  • Shen
  • Aatrox
  • Illaoi
  • Morgana
  • Kayn
  • Udyr
  • Sett

The late game mainly involves getting 2-star 5 costs and correctly positioning your units.

Which 5-costs to Use

Udyr is always a must to replace Jax because he has Inkshadow and Behemoth, so he synergizes well with Shen. Other units will depend on what items you have left and what your enemy is using. Here are 5-costs you can add and when to use them:

  • Sett—Sett is a great unit to add, especially if you replaced Jax with Udyr. He has a Warden trait that synergizes well with Illaoi. You can also use him to turn off specific units on the frontline.
  • Lissandra—Lissanda is an excellent addition if you still have AP items. She is a good secondary carry and synergizes with Illaoi since both are Arcanists. In addition, Liss can generate items on kills and disable units by turning them into teapots.
  • Wukong—Wukong is an excellent secondary carry when Kayn is on the field. This 5-cost unit activates Sage and Morgana's traits, which Kayn greatly benefits from due to the increased omnivamp.

What Items to Use

Your initial items should be dedicated to Shen and Senna. Be mindful of slamming them too early because you will have difficulty rerolling out of the comp if you opt out. Here are the best-in-slots for core units in the Senna Reroll comp:

  • Senna – Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, Guinsoo Rageblade, Giant Slayer, or Red Buff
  • Shen – Gargoyle's Stoneplate, Redemption, Dragon’s Claw, Bramble Vest, Sunfire, or Ionic Spark
  • Illaoi – Warmogs, Redemption, Dragon’s Claw, Bramble Vest, Sunfire, or Ionic Spark
  • Caitlyn – Shojin, Giant Slayer, Infinity Edge, or Guinsoo Rageblade
  • Morgana – Shojin, Nashor’s Tooth, Morellonomicon, Rabaddon’s Deathcap, or Archangel’s Staff
  • Kayn – Titan's Resolve, Bloodthirster, Hand of Justice, Red Buff, Last Whisper, or Edge of Night
  • Sett - Titan's Resolve, Bloodthirster, Hand of Justice, Red Buff, Last Whisper, or Edge of Night
  • Wukong - Titan's Resolve, Bloodthirster, Hand of Justice, Red Buff, Last Whisper, or Edge of Night
  • Udyr – Crownguard, Bloodthirster, Hand of Justice, or Titan’s Resolve
  • Lissandra - Shojin, Nashor’s Tooth, Morellonomicon, Rabaddon’s Deathcap, or Archangel’s Staff

Note: If you lack items, then using Thieve’s Gloves on the 5-cost will suffice. If you have trouble with enemies with shields like Umbral, you can use Guardbreaker on your carries.
