FC 27 is looking to dole out new Career Mode features, including new licensed teams, dynamic potential, and manager face scans to make MyCareer more immersive for players who want to fully get into the FC experience. Here are all the new features coming to EA FC 27 and their MyCareer details.
New Licensed Teams
Some players from different countries, like Mexico, will finally get their own leagues to play in, especially those who don't get signed to the teams they would normally join in real life. This enhances MyCareer immersion by letting unsigned players play on a team that matches them.
Dynamic Potential
A player’s stats and potential were previously fixed and remained static throughout a MyCareer playthrough. However, FC 27 will now introduce a dynamic potential system where a player’s stats can change based on certain factors. A player with a previously high potential stat of 89 can now fall to 82 due to morale and team sharpness. Conversely, this also boosts low-stat players if they have better form, morale, and sharpness.
The dynamic potential now gives managers an incentive to diversify their team with lower potential players while still keeping their top performers in top shape.
Manager Face Scans
MyCareer players can now use their own face or other pictures and import them into the manager character model, allowing them to better immerse themselves in their team and the game.
Player Transfer Overhaul
The previous transfer system required managers to travel worldwide and spend time signing contracts and transferring players from one team to another. For FC 27, transfers can now happen much faster via phone calls, making team management and budgeting easier on one screen without unnecessary cutscenes.
New Random Events
Different players can now trigger random events that can benefit the team, with choices that affect a player's performance. This will add surprises and variety to FC 27’s team management gameplay. Some random events can even cause injuries or take players out of form, lowering their potential.
New Contract Clauses
Players can now add new clauses in contract signings to help develop underperforming players while still making money. One such clause lets players sell someone to another team for a low value, but add a percentage sign-on that gives the seller additional money if the sold player performs well.
AI Logic Improvements
AI-managed clubs will now make decisions based on their identity. Clubs focused on developing new talent will hire younger prospects, while other clubs will focus on training and upgrading their first team right away. This lets every club develop a distinct identity with unique transfer behaviors.
