The goblin trading capital of Undermine is getting Undermine(d) in the next update, with the raid coming on March 4th of 2025! Corruption is rampant, riches are free, and the big bad wolves are on the prowl in this class war. Naturally, in the World of Warcraft universe, this is grounds for a new raid, coming with Patch 11.1. Note that the patch initially releases on February 25th. In this article, what we know about the Liberation of Undermine raid will be covered, allowing you to prepare for the launch coming up.
Read the following blurb if lore is your thing. If you’re just here for the information, continue to the appropriate section! First time? Try the first section, Basic Information, for all of the essentials.
”Despite the best efforts of the united cartels, Jastor Gallywix has holed himself away in the Gallagio and called in every favor ever owed to him…leaving a mountain of would-be oppressors between the goblins of Undermine and the Chrome King. Gazlowe and the rest of goblinkind will need to find their way into the Gallagio to rid themselves of Gallywix for good.”

Basic Information
There will be 8 bosses in this level 80 (max level) raid. It will encompass all difficulty levels, including Story Mode, LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. The minimum item level for Raid Finder will be ilvl 606. The raid release schedule for Liberation of Undermine is as follows.
- Week 1 (March 4th)
- Raid Finder Wing 1: Shock and Awesome featuring bosses Cauldron of Carnage and Rik Reverb
- Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties
- Week 2 (March 11th)
- Raid Finder Wing 2: Maniacal Machinist featuring bosses Sprocketmonger Lockenstock and Stix Bunkjunker
- Story Mode
- Week 3 (March 18th)
- Raid Finder Wing 3: Two Heads are Better featuring bosses Vexie and the Geargrinders, One Armed Bandit, and Mug’Zee
- Week 4 (March 25th)
- Raider Finder Wing 4: The Chrome King (Chrome King Gallywix)
To break down what this means for new players, Raid Finder is an automatic grouping system similar to Random Dungeons. Each wing will be queued separately. Normal and Heroic difficulties are as far as most players go. Mythic difficulty is where the race to the world first takes place, as it is exceptionally difficult.
For returning players, welcome back! Story Mode is a narrative-driven version of the raid that can be completed solo, best for players who are antisocial or just don’t want to play with others. Story Mode previously offered gear upgrade materials and reputation upon its release with Nerub-ar Palace, so we can expect this to play out similarly with the release of Liberation of Undermine.
Once you’re ready to tackle Liberation of Undermine on Normal, Heroic, or Mythic (good luck!) difficulty, head to Undermine’s Incontinental Hotel and then to coordinates 41.8, 49.0 right next to this inn. You can set your Hearthstone here for quick access or take flight paths to the Incontinental Hotel, both of which will place you just a couple of yards from the raid entrance.
Bosses and Loot Item Levels (Per Difficulty)
Liberation of Undermine has 8 boss encounters. Vexie Fullthrottle and The Geargrinders, Cauldron of Carnage, Rik Reverb, Stix Bunkjunker, Sprocketmonger Lockenstock, The One Armed Bandit, Mug’Zee, and the famed Chrome King Gallywix all stand between you and final victory.
While not much is currently known about the exacts of these encounters, seeing as all is subject to drastic changes even going into the first few weeks after initial release (as all WoW raiders should know by now), we do know a bit about the rewards. If you plan on tackling this raid as it opens, try downloading addons such as Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) and GTFO to help you. These can be downloaded through CurseForge and have active developers. They will likely be updated as new mechanics, tweaks, nerfs, and more come out…especially following competitive pushes (world first, anyone)?
To give you what you need to read the following section of this article, you should know how the boss encounters are classified. Boss 1 references Vexie Fullthrottle and the Geargrinders. Boss 2-4 includes the Cauldron of Carnage, Rik Reverb, and Sprocketmonger Lockenstock encounters. Boss 5-6 consists of Stix Bunkjunker and The One Armed Bandit. Lastly, Boss 7-8 is Mug’Zee and Chrome King Gallywix.
The rewards are as follows. Note that Boss 1 does not have very rare drops. Also note that Warbound items can drop, ranking all the way up to Champion track to help out your dusty alts. If you’re a mount collector, then note that Chrome King Gallywix has two potential mount drops. Done with notes, now, promise. Continue reading.

There is definitely a trend or two that can be spotted in the item level patterns, but it's up to you (or the Mythic difficulty tackling maniacs) to find them. For those looking forward to their Tier Sets, these are the classes that share Tier Tokens. Be aware that Excessively Bejeweled Curios can be used by any class.
- Dreadful set: Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Warlock
- Mystic set: Druid, Hunter, Mage
- Venerated set: Paladin, Priest, Shaman
- Zenith: Evoker, Monk, Rogue, Warrior
Now, what bosses drop what?
- Helm piece: The One Armed Bandit
- Shoulder piece: Rik Reverb
- Chest piece: Sprocketmonger Lockenstock
- Hand piece: Cauldron of Carnage
- Leg piece: Stix Bunkjunker
The Great Vault is another way to get gear from this raid. Weekly, depending on how many bosses you defeat, you’ll get options of gear to choose one from. The highest difficulty you complete will help your chances of getting an upgrade from your current equipment.
Renown Track: Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club
A new raid associated with a new Renown track? Sure, why not, let’s get to it! The Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club will probably not prove as irritating to accumulate as your everyday rewards or loyalty clubs, since you won’t need to buy an outrageous amount of generic brand cucumbers to double your points...unlike with certain grocery stores and their undesirable loyalty programs.
This Renown track will have 20 levels for players to progress through, with many useful, unique, or outright cool rewards along the way. There will be damage and healing buffs that stack, found at Renown levels 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19. A chance for Augment Runes will also be present. A raid skip, portal, and some utilities will also be made available to loyal Renown grinders. Puzzling Cartel Chips (soon to be discussed) will be awarded at Renown levels 17 and 19. Not to mention the three mounts that can be earned, including the flying Thunderdrum Misfire and the two available ground mounts Darkfuse Chompactor and Furious Flarendo! For auction house hustlers, professional profession levelers, and title collectors, more rewards can be unlocked that cover these playstyles as well.
Currently, it is not known how reputation will be earned with the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club, but it can be assumed to be a similar process to what we’ve seen–with a twist. We know at least one-way players will earn Renown with this faction. By defeating enemies in the raid, you can earn an appropriate amount of reputation, with a total of five thousand rep available in the raid. For defeating bosses one through six, you’ll get 450 rep. Boss 7 will give you 600 reputation. The dreaded and decked-out Chrome King will award an astonishing 1000 rep! Then, in some trash mob packs, you’ll find powerful foes that award 100 reputation each. By using your noggin, it can be assumed that there will be 7 of these mobs present in Liberation of Undermine. There will be a cap of one level per week, with rapid catch-up available for late starters.
Remember those Puzzling Cartel Chips just mentioned? They will be a Dinar-like currency with value for those looking to maximize their output through gear. This currency can be used to purchase raid gear of the player’s preference. These items, purchased through the designated vendor, will have an upgrade track with 14 ranks. The maximum item level will be 678 for this equipment, right at the level of Mythic difficulty raid rewards! So, even if you aren’t dedicated to World of Warcraft like it's a second (or only) job, you will be able to get those sweet, sweet high item levels.
Concluding Thoughts
With the goblin race of WoW’s Horde being set to the side for so long, seemingly since their introduction in Cataclysm, this is a refreshing update to see. Fight Chrome King Gallywix for the rights of goblinkind, loot some cool mounts and gear upgrades along the way, and earn Renown with The Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club as you do it!
