New Operator Ban System Explained in R6 Siege X

Rainbow Six Siege X Ban System Explained

The ban system in Rainbow Six Siege X provides a new way of banning certain Operators from a match, which makes games a bit more dynamic and free-flowing compared to the original Siege. Here’s an explanation of how Rainbow Six Siege X pulls off this ban system.

Bans Frequency Changes

Previously, Rainbow Six Siege would make the banning process happen only once per match before the first round begins. This makes certain Operators downright unplayable since some are considered extremely powerful with their gadgets.

The current system for Rainbow Six Siege X instead makes bans occur per round, which means that teams can start banning Operators against players who are doing very well with them. This changes up the map play dynamic

Free To Play and Level Restriction

Since Rainbow Six Siege is now free-to-play, players who get the game for free must pay for the ranked mode with the $20 Elite version of the game. Players who have previously paid for Rainbow Six Siege before the update will still be able to play Ranked with no restriction.

Another restriction for Ranked play is the Level 50 requirement. This is intended to make players first learn the fundamentals of Rainbow Six Siege before hopping into a ranked match, and preventing lower-skilled players from matching with more high-skilled players
