Valorant Season 2025 Act 4's New Corrode Map Guide

Valorant Season 2025 Act 4's New Corrode Map Guide

Valorant enters a new era with the addition of the new Corrode map. Here's a guide on everything you need to know about Valorant's new Corrode map.

Corrode Map Guide

Corrode is located in France and appears to be an abandoned mining village. Aside from where the map is located in Valorant's lore, it consists of two sites, a middle lane connecting both sites, and A LOT of corners. Due to the corners, players will need to avoid rushing and play strategically. Here are ways you can win in Valorant's Corrode map.

Check Every Corner

As mentioned, Corrode has plenty of corners for opponents to hide. Therefore, the best way to enter the new map is to check every corner. Most new players tend to forget this key rule when playing Valorant. Initiators and Duelists will have to double-check where they enter, or they might get shot by an opponent with a Shorty. Meanwhile, defending players can hide or set up traps that the attacking team cannot see. So, if you're a Sentinel or Controller, take advantage of the corners.

Almost Every Wall is Penetrable

Unlike other maps in Valorant, most of Corrode's walls are penetrable, meaning that players can shoot through walls. How can a player take advantage of this feature? It's all up to your game sense. Since there are a lot of corners on the map, players will take advantage of them and hide behind them.

If you know which walls are penetrable, you can eliminate the opponent without having to peek. Checking which walls are penetrable is easy since it's all based on bullet holes. If the bullet hole has a black center, it means the wall is penetrable. If the bullet hole only shows a dent, the wall isn't penetrable. Be sure to use the penetrable walls to your advantage, especially if you want to use an Odin.

Learn the Callouts

Learning the callouts for each part of Corrode can help your team know where the enemy is and eliminate them. So they're a vital part of communication and strategy, no matter whether it's to see where the enemies are coming from or if your teammates want to flank the enemy team.

Here are the callouts for Corrode.

By learning the callouts early, you'll have an advantage over players who aren't great at communicating with their team. The callouts will come in handy, especially if you're going to grind Competitive mode

When Will Corrode Be Released in Valorant?

Corrode is coming to Valorant on June 25 with the release of Season 2025 Act 4. New content, such as the battle pass and new Phaseguard collection, will accompany the Corrode map on its release.
