Who is Agent 29: Veto in Valorant

Veto is a new Agent playing the Sentinel role. He's the first Agent from Senegal. His abilities rely on his mutated slime or Phage, which gives him his powers. In the game, he focuses on canceling any utility from opponents and the control site.

Agent 29: Veto Abilities in Valorant

Most of Veto's abilities rely on his Phage, a device that looks like a slime that allows him to take down enemy utilities, trap enemies, teleport, and become immune to debuffs. Here are all of Veto's abilities in Valorant.

How to Use Veto in Valorant

Now that you’re familiar with Veto’s abilities in Valorant, here’s how you can use them.

Ability

How to Use

Interceptor (Signature)

  • For executes, place it to cover a choke point. Activate it immediately as the enemy executes a site to clear all key entry tools. Enemies can destroy the Phage.
  • During post-plants, throw it on the Spike as you start the defuse and activate it to instantly clear any post-plant mollies or nano swarms, making the defuse safe.

Chokehold

  • While in defense, it serves as a traditional tripwire at a choke point. The Decay and Deafen effects make enemies vulnerable for a peek or an easy cleanup. The trap can be destroyed before it is activated.
  • When making entries, throw it on the site to trap an anchor or clear a deep corner for your Duelists. Follow up with an ally's damaging utility for an easy kill.

Crosscut

  • For an aggressive defense, place the vortex in a safe area. Take an aggressive duel and use the teleport as an instant, fast, and quiet escape. You must be looking at the vortex to teleport.
  • When flanking or rotating, place it during pre-round for a quick rotation between sites. On attack, place it deep behind you to instantly reposition for a flank if the enemy pushes through.

Evolution (Ultimate)

  • When retaking or making an entry, pop the ultimate and walk straight through the enemy utility. You become a tank that cannot be flashed or concussed, allowing you to force gunfights and clear sites. Damage from bullets and weapon-like abilities still applies.
  • During post plants or when trying to clutch, use it to defuse the Spike through enemy mollies or to take a dangerous fight when you know the enemy has stuns or a damaging ultimate ready.
