Agent Awaits: Dive In & Discover Your Valorant Alter Ego! 🎮🔥

Team fights can be extra grueling, especially when your life is on the line. In a team FPS games such as Valorant, wits and skills are the most important aspects of succeeding as a unit. Everyone has a role to play, and these duties are more than just shooting enemies. Whether impairing enemies or cutting off their line of sight, every position in Valorant plays a considerable part. Would you prefer to be at the head of the charge and running down enemies? Or do you like to be the paragon of defense and hold a site by yourself?

All Valorant Roles

When choosing which agent to play, you have to first understand the different roles existing in the game. Unlike other FPS games, the characters in Valorant are separated into four classes: Duelist, Sentinel, Controller, and Initiator. Each of these roles plays a crucial part in ensuring your team’s success in every battle. Here is how each of them contributes to the fight:

  • Duelist – Duelists are self-sufficient agents whose main job is entering sites and being the first to engage in fights. Characters in this role are expected to be the top fraggers in the team, especially during the attacking phase. Most of the abilities in their kit improve their capabilities of entering areas. These units have excellent mobility skills, easy-to-pop flashes, and reliable self-healing. Players with tremendous confidence in their shooting skills should choose to play this role. Here are all the agents considered Duelists:

  • Jett

  • Phoenix

  • Reyna

  • Raze

  • Yoru

  • Neon

  • Sentinel – If you are looking for characters to defend or hold a site on their own, then Sentinels are the best for that role. These agents specialize in protecting a site or ensuring the enemy team won’t have an easy way to enter the area. Sentinels are expected to take down enemies trying to invade a place or delay attacking teams long enough for backup to help. Alternatively, these agents are also expected to defend and secure a site after planting the spike; they ensure that foes will have difficulty accessing the bomb for defusal. Players who prefer to protect their territories should choose this role. Here are all the Sentinels in the game:

  • Sage

  • Cypher

  • Killjoy

  • Chamber

  • Controller – Cutting off the enemy line of sight and creating an ideal field for their teammates is what Controllers specialize in. These agents can use their abilities to block angles and peeking positions, reducing the number of spots their team needs to look at. Based on their name, these units can control how a battlefield will look as they use various clouds of smoke and screens to set up a stage advantageous to them. Here are all the Controllers in Valorant:

  • Brimstone

  • Omen

  • Viper

  • Astra

  • Initiator – Valorant is a team battle, so it is expected that most allies should enter the site to clear it out before planting the spike. However, invading these areas is dangerous due to the number of angles from which enemies can attack. Initiators specialize in immobilizing and impairing foes. Their ability to clear spots and force hostiles away from their grades reduces the danger the team will face upon entering a site. Here are all the Initiators found in Valorant:

  • Sova

  • Breach

  • Skye

  • KAY/O

  • Fade

Which Valorant Agents Have Significant Damage Abilities?

Not all Agents in Valorant have the potential to damage or even kill their opponents. Many characters only have utilities in their kit, which some may find boring. When you are getting out fragged by a better-cracked shot player, sometimes using skills can help you get revenge. From mollies to projectiles, here are all the agents that have abilities that can deal severe damage:

  • Jett

  • Sova

  • Phoenix

  • Raze

  • Neon

  • Brimstone

  • Viper

  • Breach

  • KAY/O

  • Killjoy

  • Chamber

Most Useful Ultimate Abilities in Valorant

While every ability in Valorant is helpful in some way, there are specific skills that benefit the whole team as a whole. Some Ultimates only benefit the user such as Jett’s Blade Storm or Chamber’s Tour de Force. However, some ults help the team as a whole by being able to clear out angles, impair enemies, or gain information. Here are some of the most useful Ultimate Abilities in Valorant:

  • Killjoy’s Lockdown

  • Cypher’s Neural Theft

  • Fade’s Nightfall

  • Breach’s Rolling Thunder

  • KAY/O’s Null/CMD

  • Skye’s Seeker

  • Sage’s Resurrection

  • Sova’s Hunter’s Fury

  • Raze’s Showstopper

  • Brimstone’s Orbital Strike

  • Viper’s Viper’s Pit

  • Astra’s Cosmic Divide
