Best Class Tier List in Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur

Best Class Tier List in PoE 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur

GGG introduces new mechanics every time a new League goes live. Some of the changes included are new skill gems and adjustments to existing ones. With several updates to some stats and features within the game, we see significant movement within the class tourists, particularly for those who were previously dominated by minions and ranged classes. Settlers of Kalguur made some big moves, considering the era of melee builds. This tier list will show players the best classes to run for this League mechanic.

All PoE Classes and Ascendancy Classes

PoE features seven classes, three dedicated to specific stats, while the other four are hybrids. Each class has Ascendancy Classes that further expand the available attributes and perks you get from your base job. Here are all the classes and ascendancies:

  • Duelist
    • Slayer
    • Gladiator
    • Champion
  • Shadow
    • Assassin
    • Saboteur
    • Trickster
  • Marauder
    • Juggernaut
    • Berserker
    • Chieftain
  • Witch
    • Necromancer
    • Occultist
    • Elementalist
  • Ranger
    • Deadeye
    • Warden
    • Pathfinder
  • Templar
    • Inquisitor
    • Hierophant
    • Guardian
  • Scion
    • Ascendant

The three pure classes are Marauder (STR), Witch (INT), and Ranger (DEX). Meanwhile, the hybrids that feature a mix of two attributes are Shadow (DEX + INT), Duelist (DEX + STR), and Templar (STR + INT). The Scion is the only one with balanced access to all three stats.

Class Tier List for PoE 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur

With the recent adjustments to the game, several melee classes have entered the S-Tier rating, while some of the more classic builds retain their position at the A rankings.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
S-Tier

  • Deadeye: Deadeye is still one of the best classes in the current game meta. Its ability to use builds that can fire off multiple projectiles that stack debuff and clear out mobs makes it one of the best choices for League Starters and Uber runs.

  • Pathfinder: This Ascendancy enters the S-tier class as we find more builds revolving around flasks, which have become more efficient since this update. Pathfinder's effective use of chaos skills and other status ailments makes it a prime pick for Uber Boss runs.

  • Chieftain: The Chieftain takes a spot at the top after several massive reworks to its nodes, which gives us access to better builds. This class can now use multiple AoE skills (most of which are fire-based) that efficiently deal vast amounts of damage, which previous versions lacked. The Chieftain now boasts powerful defensive resistance and offensive capabilities.

  • Inquisitor: This Ascendancy overtakes some minion builds to enter the S-Tier due to its proficiency with elemental-based attacks. It has access to abilities that significantly ramp up Elemental attacks and debuffs that make enemies more vulnerable to these types of damage. Inquisitors are great League Starters and Uber runners.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
A-Tier

  • Slayer: Slayer becomes one of the better melee Ascendancies in the game, primarily because of its sustainability. It's excellent for League Starters because its kit is very friendly due to the existence of Overleech. At the same time, it can deal tremendous damage with several powerful melee strikes. The only reason for it not landing a spot on the top is that it's not as tanky as the Chieftain to survive through huge bursts of damage from bosses when taking them upfront.

  • Occultist: The occultist remains a top choice for players with affinities to chaos and ice-based skills. The Unholy Authority from this Ascendancy makes it great for stacking multiple curses on enemies, which is great for bosses and Uber runs. It slightly falls off compared to Inquisitors in terms of defensive capabilities.

  • Trickster: The Trickster features good defensive stats on top of its excellent DPS capabilities, which makes it one of the better melee classes in this League. You can gain tremendous energy shield and evasion, which lets you tank most damage and survive through many engagements. It's especially great for Uber runs but will require some investment to take off, which is not ideal for League Starters.

  • Champion: While this Ascendancy mainly boasts defensive stats, you can augment that by using specific skills to increase your offense in exchange for HP. However, even without these gems, Champion still boasts reliable DPS, which makes it one of the best League starters in the game. It also has decent apparent speed on top of its formidable defense, which is excellent for beginners.

  • Elementalist: Elementalists mix offensive elemental attacks with summoning golems to serve as their frontline. With this build, you actively cast spells while also conjuring constructs to help you in battle. It's an excellent class for League Starter and Uber Runs but lacks defensive capabilities.

  • Necromancer: Necromancer never leaves the meta because minion builds always have a place in any ARPG. This Ascendancy thrives in raising multiple summonses, such as skeletons, undead, and specters, to fight for them. While the class lacks defensive stats, the fact that your minion does most of the heavy lifting means you don't need to get too close to anything and receive damage.

  • Ascendant: The Ascendant is a highly flexible choice if you are unsure what you want to run. It has excellent survivability and nodes that significantly ramp up its DPS. While players are cautious with this path due to requiring a bit of investment, it doesn't take too many resources to feel huge improvements. However, if you are willing to put a lot of resources into building the class, it can effectively compete with S-Tier Ascendancies.

⭐⭐⭐
B-Tier

  • Juggernaut: The Juggernaut used to be the reigning, and probably only, melee Ascendancy class in the game, but it has since fallen off as players now prefer other paths. However, just because it's not the top job right now doesn’t mean it's not viable. The Juggernaut retains its tankiness with several skill nodes, increasing its durability, health regen, and resistance. It's a great League Starter because it’s easy to survive in this class. Other melee Ascendancies became better than this one because their ability to DPS has significantly ramped up, which leaves the Juggernaut in an awkward position.

  • Guardian: The Guardian suffers from the same problems as the Juggernaut. It's incredibly tanky and has tons of defensive utilities, but it has mid-level damage output, even with all the recent buffs to this class. However, the adjustments to its kit did raise it from a C-Tier Ascendancy to a B-Tier one. Guardian has great defensive utilities that make it a great League Starter, and it can now benefit from minion builds. It is the best go-to Minion class if you want tons of survivability. However, it still doesn't reach Uber-level damage even if you spend tons of currency on it.

  • Saboteur: The Saboteur has been seen as one of the highest-dealing DPS Ascendancies in the game. Still, it does suffer from being squishy while lacking the defensive utilities of the S-Tier ranged classes. This one utilizes mines and trap building to deal with AoE and cluster damage by triggering massive chain explosions. Most of this class’ skill nodes are dedicated to improving the effectiveness and destructiveness of your mines and setups. It's a good League Starter if you like fast mob clearing. This class can reach Uber level, but it’ll require significant investment to improve its durability.

  • Assassin: The Assassin is seen as the highest damage-dealing Ascendancy in PoE, but that only happens if you survive through most engagements. While this class does benefit from huge boosts to its critical strikes and damage, its lack of defensive capabilities and utilities make it one of the squishiest classes available. Its lack of durability makes running it quite awkward since it’s mainly a melee path. However, if you are a seasoned player who knows how to survive, it's an excellent choice for running most content. It's not a great League starter because it requires technical and complex positioning, so you’re better off choosing another more balanced and durable class.

  • Berserker: The Berserker's main drawback that prevents players from running it is that it increases your damage taken to augment its damage. However, the boost to its attack is no joke because it can keep ramping up if you hit your Crit Attacks. It's slightly better than Assassin because it has more survivability than the Shadow Ascendancy, but it will need more investments to power creep its DPS. It's not a great Uber class to run, but it’s highly viable if you are willing to spend resources on it.

⭐⭐
C-Tier

  • Gladiator: This Ascendancy hasn’t been doing so hot ever since it was reworked a few Leagues back. This class focuses on ramping up and innovating on the Bleed mechanic and physical attacks. The problem is that Elemental Attacks deal significantly more damage, which the Gladiator cannot access without massive compromises. It is durable in a certain sense, but we have better melee classes that are more durable and can deal far more damage with fewer investments. We don't recommend running this Ascendancy for any purposes, but we also don’t think that players shouldn’t use it. If the kit entertains you, you could try running it, but it’ll require some investment.

  • Raider: The Raider is a great League Starter, and there is no denying that. The only problem is that it scales poorly as you go farther in the game. It's great during the campaign stage and early mapping because of its boost in movement speed and attack speed. It's also suitable for blitzing through maps, clearing out mobs, and quickly taking down campaign bosses. However, you’re better off running other Ascendancies when you want to take on more complex maps. We don't recommend using Raider for more challenging content because making it viable for Uber runs and competing with other classes is costly.

  • Hierophant: This class is the central go-to Ascendancy for running brands and totems. You have tons of utilities to augment your mana usage and spellcasting. The real problem with this is that it's very squishy early on, and you need to spend so many resources on it to take off and outcompete other Ascendancies. We won't advise you against this path, but you must be prepared to spend a lot of money to get the right items. It's a great class to run, but it just eats up too many resources for us to put any higher than C.
