Third-Age Equipment in OSRS
The Third Age of Gielinor was a period of conflict and war. Zamorak had returned from banishment and had ascended to godhood, starting a war with other gods. Historians called the event that followed the God Wars, and it lasted throughout the age.
Of course, with all the conflict going around at the time, players can expect equipment from this age will be good. Though Third-Age equipment still gets outclassed by god equipment, they’re no slouch either. Melee equipment from this age is considered the rarest, and for Magic and Range users, sets ranked second-best and third-best respectively.
All these won’t degrade and provide pretty good defenses. Players can use them for a long time before replacing them with more expensive but better equipment. The exception is the melee set, as most would only use them as an expression of wealth.
One of the rarest and most valuable pieces of Third-Age equipment is the Third-Age Bow. It combines the range of a longbow with the speed of the shortbow. That means players using it can target enemies from farther away while peppering them with arrows as fast as a shortbow can. It’s useful for the Fight Caves, Inferno, and the Barbarian Assault mini-games.
Due to its rarity and usefulness, it matches the value of the Twisted Bow in the Grand Exchange. It’s a bow worth about a billion gold, and that’s a price most players won’t have on hand. As a result, some players might look to online sellers as a resource to buy a Third-Age bow.

All Third-Age equipment comes from the harder (hard and above) tiers of Treasure Trails. That’s the only way to get them other than the GE.
