How to Get Your Guild Wars 2 Items

Since Guild Wars doesn't have a direct player-to-player trading system, your item would be mailed to you. Tell your seller your character's name. You might want to set a time when both of you can be online. It will let you make sure you get the item as soon as they send it. However, you will have to negotiate and commit to what has been agreed to. Make sure you check or clear your inbox, as it could get deleted when it's full.

In Guild Wars 2, Weapons and armor are the most basic requirements for surviving the journey across Tyria. Without them, you'll fall at the slightest bump into a hostile creature. They come in several rarities, from Basic (the most common) all the way to Legendary (the rarest and most powerful).

Upgrade components are items that can add to or change the bonuses or extra effects of a weapon, armor, or gathering tool. Examples of these are runes, sigils, infusions, and glyphs.

Skins determine the look of an item. You can make your weapon or armor look different from what it normally does. Whether for completing a set look or you don't like how it looks, skins are the thing for you.

Anything not included above can be considered others. These items have a wide variety of uses, from unlocking dyes and extending inventory space, to providing unlimited bank access. They're usually the miscellaneous items that provide various effects or services.

Guild Wars 2 Weapons

Going for Exotic, Ascended, or GW2 Legendary weapons is your best bet. These three rarities have the best bonuses and characteristics. Exotic weapons are the easiest to find, as bosses are quite likely to drop weapons of this rarity. They're strong, but some Ascended and Legendary weapons are better. They have a yellow border in the inventory.

Ascended weapons are crafted weapons. They need the best components but has the advantage of being customizable to a certain extent. With a high enough level of certain crafting disciplines, it's quite easy to get one. The challenge is in grinding the discipline level as well as getting the ingredients. They have a pink border in the inventory.

Legendary weapons need a precursor weapon and a few other components. They're the strongest weapons around and have a purple in the inventory. Take the legendary greatsword Eternity, for example. Its strength ranges from 1,045 to 1,155 and automatically has a Superior Sigil of Leeching on one slot. Other than that, it looks cool and changes color depending on the time of day. Other examples of legendary weapons are the Bifrost, Frenzy, Howler, The Minstrel, Sunrise, Twilight, Astralaria, Eureka, and HOPE.

Guild Wars 2 Armor

Armors have the same rarity scheme as weapons. Exotic armors are also the weakest of the three and can be obtained through defeating bosses. Ascended armors can be crafted or obtained through achievements. On the other hand, GW2 Legendary armors are upgraded Ascended ones. They can drop as rewards for doing raids and achievements. Since the Ascended and Legendary rarity armors are account-bound, the only ones left tradable are the Exotic armors. They can be found all around Tyria, but trying to complete a set will take time. Buying them makes everything more convenient.
