Hollow Knight: Silksong - Sister Splinter Boss Guide

Hollow Knight: Silksong players are struggling to defeat a specific boss in the game: Sister Splinter. This boss has been causing problems among players due to her Triple Slam Attack. Aside from her special move, she can summon allies and control the boss arena with her vines. If you want to beat the thorny obstacle, here’s an in-depth boss guide on how to do so.

Sister Splinter Location in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Before you begin your boss fight with Sister Splinter, you'll need to locate her. Sister Splinter is located in the upper area of Shellwood. You’ll need to defeat her to access the higher areas, since the Cling Grip upgrade is located there.

Loadout for Sister Splinter Boss Fight

Here’s a loadout to use in the Sister Splinter Boss Fight in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Ability

Threadstorm

Tool

Warding Bell

Crest

Reaper Crest

Utilizing Threadstorm allows you to cast a wider AOE attack, which is useful when you’re facing off against a boss that can lock you in tight spaces.

Having Warding Bell in your loadout allows you to be shielded by attacks you can’t dodge while healing. The Warding Bell also works well to counter any attacks with a shockwave.

The Reaper Crest moveset is stronger but slow, which is fine to use in the Sister Splinter boss fight. Having the Crescent Slash allows you to hit multiple enemies if surrounded.

How to Beat Sister Splinter in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Now that you know where to find her, here’s how you can beat Sister Splinter in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Quickly Destroy the Thorns

Sister Splinter can shoot out thorns that can block parts of the boss arena, which will put you in tight spaces. Destroying them quickly allows you to have more movement to dodge any incoming attacks.

Defeat the Flying Allies

Sister Splinter will have allies she can summon, such as the flying ones. Prioritize defeating them first before you attempt attacks on Sister Splinter. Use your jumping and dashing abilities to maneuver and defeat the flying allies.

Use Threadstorm

As mentioned, Threadstorm is a powerful AoE attack that can damage any enemy touching the thread. If Sister Splinter’s thorns stick you, use this ability to deal damage despite the limited space.

Counter with Warding Bell

Warding Bell allows you to shield enemy attacks while healing. If you have no time to dodge, use Warding Bell to deflect the attack and heal yourself. If Sister Splinter hits you while you are using Warding Bell, the attack reflects back at her.
