Don't brick your game - Quarantine Zone: The Last Check Base Upgrade Guide

The quarantine zone is a place where survivors of the zombie infection flock to in hopes of survival. In this game, the player must spot symptoms among incoming survivors and assign them to one of three options: quarantine, shelter, or liquidation. However, this is just half of the job. The other half is managing the quarantine zone itself and making sure the survivors within are in good care. This means managing base resources, upgrading utilities, and upgrading the drone to contend with the ever-increasing number of zombies. This can make it difficult for new players because of the limited amount of funds available. Learning which to upgrade first and which resource to prioritize is imperative for surviving the apocalypse.

Base Upgrade Priorities in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check

Fuel Tank and Generator

The generators are the heart of your base. This essentially means that Fuel is the most important resource for surviving the upcoming days. Keeping the generators well supplied and upgrading them means base defenses do not go down during horde nights.

Quarantine Beds

On Day 5 of the campaign, the player will experience a large influx of survivors. If the quarantine zone is not large enough to accommodate more people. This would mean that the player would have to risk sending the survivor to liquidation or to the survivor's block.

Base Defense Tools

During the campaign, the player would have to go through certain segments where they would be tasked with defending the zone with a drone. The armaments available are mostly sufficient for the first few defense segments, but as players progress, the hordes continue to grow. The Minigun is the main weapon for clearing waves, but the slow reload gives the hordes time to damage the wall.

Tents

After a few days, the player must prepare a quota for evacuating from the quarantine zone. For the first time, it happens on Day 5, the player is expected to provide a minimum of 5 survivors. It is safe to say that the following days will require more survivors to be transferred to military or science trucks.

The Science Lab

The Lab is what many consider the best bang-for-your-buck upgrade in the game. It is more cost-effective for identifying the infected. Players would no longer have to use the Syringe Scanner as often.
