Survive the Storm with a Fortnite Account
Save the World
Heroes grow stronger as you level them up, unlocking enhanced abilities, passive traits, and synergies that suit specific playstyles. Choosing the right hero and loadout for your approach is key to mastering missions.
Weapons can be crafted and upgraded, letting you tackle tougher Storm missions with higher-tier gear. As you progress, you'll gain access to rare heroes, advanced traps, and powerful weapons, making cooperative gameplay more strategic and rewarding.
Does Fortnite Save the World Still Give V-Bucks?
Yes, but only eligible Founder accounts can earn V-Bucks through Save the World. Players who purchased a Founder's edition before June 29, 2020, can still earn V-Bucks through Daily Quests, certain Mission Alerts, Storm Shield Defense missions, and challenges. Save the World became free-to-play in April 2026, but players without Founder status receive X-Ray Tickets instead, which can be spent on X-Ray Llamas. This makes Founder status a key distinction between older and newer Fortnite accounts, especially for players who want to collect cosmetics across different game modes.
Battle Royale
In Fortnite's free-to-play Battle Royale mode, progression focuses primarily on XP and cosmetic rewards. Players can unlock skins, emotes, pickaxes, gliders, Back Blings, weapon wraps, and other cosmetics through the Battle Pass, quests, events, and the Item Shop.
Your account level doesn't directly increase your combat power, so higher-level players don't automatically deal more damage or receive stronger weapons during matches. Instead, account progression reflects how long you've played and the cosmetics you've collected along the way.
From older Battle Pass outfits to crossover cosmetics and limited promotional items, these rewards let you customize your character and show off different parts of your Fortnite collection.
How Can You Get Free Skins and V-Bucks in Fortnite?
Fortnite occasionally offers free skins and other cosmetics through quests, events, and special promotions, so you don't always need to spend V-Bucks to expand your locker. Players can also earn certain rewards through free Battle Pass progression, though available rewards change each season. If you're wondering how to get V-Bucks in Fortnite, you can usually buy them directly, redeem eligible V-Bucks cards, or earn them through qualifying rewards and Founder benefits in Save the World. Not every outfit is free, especially crossover cosmetics and older Battle Pass skins, so keep up with new events and seasonal rewards to collect more items over time.
What Is the Rarest Skin in Fortnite?
Some of Fortnite's rarest cosmetics come from early Battle Passes, discontinued promotions, and hardware-exclusive bundles. Outfits such as Black Knight, Galaxy, IKONIK, and original-owner styles such as Purple Skull Trooper remain notable examples of hard-to-find cosmetics.
Renegade Raider is less rare than it once was because Fortnite brought the outfit back through its OG Season Shop. However, exclusive styles tied to original ownership can still distinguish longtime players who obtained certain cosmetics during their initial release periods.
Rarity isn't necessarily the same as age or value. Players wondering what the first Fortnite skin was often look back at the original default outfits and early Item Shop releases, while discussions about the most expensive Fortnite skins may involve promotional bundles, exclusive cosmetics, or the value people associate with older collections. There's also no universal best Fortnite skin, since some players prefer recognizable crossover outfits while others favor cosmetics that rarely appear in matches.
Fortnite accounts listed on PlayerAuctions can feature collections containing older skins such as Black Knight, Renegade Raider, Travis Scott, and other cosmetics from previous seasons and collaborations. These collections may also include older emotes, pickaxes, gliders, and Back Blings associated with different periods in Fortnite's history.
How Much Are the Kim Kardashian and Sabrina Carpenter Skins in Fortnite?
Fortnite's Icon Series includes celebrity collaborations that are typically sold through the Item Shop rather than unlocked through regular gameplay. The Kim Kardashian skin costs 1,500 V-Bucks, the Iconic Kim Kardashian outfit costs 1,800 V-Bucks, and the full bundle costs 3,000 V-Bucks. Sabrina Carpenter's Item Shop outfit costs 1,200 V-Bucks, although she also received a separate outfit through the Fortnite Festival Season 8 Music Pass. Unlike older Battle Pass exclusives, these crossover cosmetics can return through future Item Shop rotations, so their availability depends on when Epic brings them back.
Understanding Mods in Fortnite
Fortnite Creative and Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) are official tools that allow players and creators to build custom Fortnite experiences.
Fortnite Creative lets players design islands, game modes, environments, and gameplay experiences using Fortnite's built-in tools and assets. UEFN offers more advanced creation options through Unreal Engine technology, letting creators build more detailed environments, custom gameplay systems, and unique experiences.
However, Creative and UEFN content should not be confused with so-called "modded Fortnite accounts." UEFN and Creative modify or create experiences inside Fortnite; they do not alter a player's account, unlock cosmetics, or provide permanent competitive advantages in Battle Royale.
Be cautious with third-party services that advertise unofficial account modifications, altered clients, unauthorized cosmetics, or other "mods." These are separate from Epic's official Creative and UEFN tools and may violate Fortnite's rules or put an account at risk.
For legitimate customization, players should stick to Fortnite-supported cosmetics, Creative experiences, and UEFN content.
Fortnite Player Count
No definitive public figures show Fortnite's total active player count at every moment. However, PlayerAuctions compiles publicly available engagement, search, and gaming-industry data to estimate trends in Fortnite player counts.
Because Fortnite's player activity changes with new seasons, live events, collaborations, updates, and major content releases, these estimates can fluctuate significantly over time.

Fortnite Save the World Classes
In Fortnite, players can join friends in collecting resources, building forts, and fighting husks and monsters. Each player must choose from one of four heroes:
- Outlander: treasure hunters are excellent at gathering resources for building things
- Ninja: masters at close range combat and exploration
- Constructor: great at building things
- Soldier: well-rounded and can fit various roles
The game can be played on PC, Mac, PS4, and Xbox. Player progression can be shared between linked accounts (at least for PC and PS4), and there’s no need to purchase another copy of the game. Even getting the standard edition is fine since it’s possible to upgrade to the limited edition by paying the difference the two.
Heroes
Outlander
Outlander is not a fight-focused class. Instead, it has more success gathering and exploring the world of Fortnite. It has great treasure-finding and harvesting abilities. Also, it has support gadgets, such as TEDDY and Loot Llama.
Abilities
- Shock Tower: deploys a tower that pulsates and electrocutes enemies for six seconds.
- TEDDY: this sentry turret fires ranged attacks at the enemies within its range, causing moderate damage.
- Phase Shift: swiftly causes 1,562 tiles to shift in the direction where Outlander is moving.
Ninja
Ninjas are extremely agile and have the highest base speed among the classes. They excel at jumping and escaping, which makes them ideal melee fighters.
Abilities
- Crescent Kick: a fast-paced attack that deals great damage, 800 impact, and even stuns the opponent for a few seconds.
- Smoke Bomb: once thrown, it deals great damage for 5 seconds while slowing down the enemies.
- Throwing Stars: a ninja throws one star three times while dealing cutting-edge damage with each star.
- Dragon Slash: an extremely agile attack that allows the ninja to swiftly move forward 2 times while dealing edged-weapon damage to all enemies located within 0,5 tiles.
Soldier
Soldiers are experts at ranged weapons, and they provide buffs for teammates to support them. Likewise, they can debuff enemies to weaken them.
Abilities
- Frag Grenade: after the soldier throws it, it gets detonated within few seconds, causing damage.
- Shockwave: used for knocking back enemies while dealing an energy damage.
- War Cry: provide the teammates with 50% increased damage, regardless of the range. Furthermore, attack speed is increased by 50% for ranged weapons and 20% for melee.
- Goin’ Commando: allows the soldier to fire 18 times while dealing 13 base damage per shot and lasts 10 seconds.
Constructor
The constructor is a class that focuses on building while providing upgraded bases. They have a bonus repair and building speed, compared to other classes. They are the best class for building forts.
Abilities
- BASE: walls that get affected by attacks will deal base damage to the attackers. Structures that are attached gain 12% melee resistance. Unfortunately, only one BASE can be active at a time.
- DECOY: once planted, DECOY will take enemy’s attention and distract them for 12 seconds.
- Bull Rush: a powerful skill that allows the constructor to rush three tiles while collecting the enemy and pushing them to the end of the rush, or at least until they collide into construction.
- Plasma Pulse: once planted, it explodes into the enemy and deals damage every 0.5 seconds for 10 seconds.

Fortnite V-Bucks
Can Players Get V-Bucks for Free?
Players can get V-Bucks for free in the game, but you’ll need to work for it! There’s a daily quest system in Fortnite wherein you will need to complete each of them to get free V-Bucks. Although it’s not much, and they’re better off purchasing a Battle Pass and getting their money’s worth there, they can still save up and use them to purchase in-game cosmetic trinkets for their character.
What Can Players Buy with V-Bucks?
Players can buy a plethora of awesome stuff in Fortnite with V-Bucks!
-
Cosmetic items: Skins, emotes, gliders, pickaxes, backblings, and wraps.
-
Battle Pass: Each season’s Battle Pass can be purchased directly.
-
Save the World items: Heroes, weapons, and traps in the PvE mode.
How Many Tiers Can Gamers Buy With 1,000 V-Bucks?
There are 100 tiers to complete in Fortnite’s Battle Pass. But if they’re in a hurry to finish them all, players can buy their way through it all. To unlock the first 25 tiers right away, they’ll need to shell out $28 or 2,800 V-Bucks. This is a great way for gamers to get all the cosmetic items within the Battle Pass if they don’t have the time to complete it by playing—as it can take them from 75 to 150 hours to do so.
