What Happened During Fortnite Season 3?
Fun Fact: It was during Fortnite’s third season that Epic was finally introduced to the iOS community.
Fortnite’s epic third season began when players spotted an ominous comet blazing through the heavens. As revealed in the following season, this comet turned out to be a meteor—and one filled with surprises at that but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The erstwhile comet caused people to speculate and reach the conclusion that it was bound for a collision course with the Tilted Towers. This conjecture was not entirely unfounded since all telescopes in the area indicated that the comet’s trajectory was such.
At the time of its release, the Fortnite Season 3 Battle Pass set people back 950 V-Bucks—the same as other seasons during its time. This rate was totally worth it, though, as players were treated with a flurry of new cosmetics, loading screens, Contrails, and Back Blings. While the changes introduced in Season 3 were rather minimal (by Fortnite standards), a new area was introduced for players to discover. We’re talking, of course, of Lucky Landing.
What is Lucky Landing?
This location, which was one of the key features of Fortnite’s third season, had a theme that was inspired by Japanese/Chinese-style buildings. Most notable, of course, were the famous cherry blossom trees.
One of the most noteworthy things about this area is that the loot you got here was ample. This may be due to the fact that only a few people frequented it. Over the course of the season, people became privy to this and helped themselves to the 17 chests that could be found in the area. Also worth noting is the fact that Lucky Landing is near the storm barrier most of the time.
The points of interest in Lucky Landing include an imposing tree with roots set firmly in the middle of the town (you might want to check it for a chest), a gas station just north outside the town, and a tower of vehicles northwest of the area.
