Which Sect Should You Join in Where Winds Meet?

Each Sect has a distinct fantasy that rewards you for playing to their theme, such as the Silver Needle sect that rewards healers for curing diseases from other players, the Midnight Blades that rewards murdering other players, or the Nine Mortal Blades that rewards players who prank others. This guide will tell you about every joinable sect, and how you can earn each sect’s rewards.

Well of Heaven Sect

The Well of Heaven requires its members to earn Chivalrous Deeds per week and pay the sect a tax. Members are also forbidden from dueling others within the sect, as well as going past the weekly earnings limit. This best scales with the Thundercry Blade with its own unique synergies.

Silver Needle Sect

The goal of this sect is to aid at least 10 players per week by curing any diseases they may have. In return, Silver Needle sect members can demand payment for providing this service. Healer mains using the Panacea Fan and Inkwell Fan can take advantage of this sect.

Midnight Blades Sect

Members of this sect are required to murder as many players as possible to get points. However, if you die while part of the sect, you will lose points. This sect is entirely focused on PvP and has bonuses for the Infernal Twinblade weapon.

Nine Mortal Way Sect

This sect involves tricking other players and playing pranks. One of the key pranks you can play is by sending red envelopes to other players, which, when opened, will cause them to lose money instead. The Mortal Rope Dart is the primary weapon for members of this sect. Failing a trick or receiving jail time reduces points for this faction.

Raging Tides Sect

This sect is based on staying drunk constantly and getting into as many fights as possible. Raging Tide members will receive a buff for being inebriated, but will be debuffed when sober. The Heavenquaker and Stonebreaker Spears are the preferred weapons of the Raging Tides.

Floral Reverie Sect

Members of this sect are encouraged to marry as many players as possible, as each player married grants points for members of the Floral Reverie. If a player divorces you while you are a part of this faction, you will lose points.

Lone Cloud Sect

The Lone Cloud sect is the opposite of the Floral Reverie sect, favoring monogamy and punishing players in this sect for divorcing their spouses. Members are also encouraged to use get-rich-quick schemes on others to gain points with this sect. The Strategic Sword style is the primary focus within this faction.

Hollow Vale Sect

The Hollow Vale traverses the line between life and death. Like the Silver Needle, players in this sect are obligated to heal other players, but must inflict poison on others to balance the life they give. If they fail, members will be inflicted with that poison.

Remaining Sects

Currently, the other sects are still unknown with their rules, but will soon be revealed as more players join the more secretive factions in Where Winds Meet, like the Masked Troupe and the Mohist Hill.
