Boss |
How to Beat |
|---|---|
|
Dalang |
To beat Dalang, focus on parrying the horse's charging attacks, usually red glowing, to dismount Dalang. Once he's on the ground, unleash your most powerful combos and finish him before he can remount. Ignore the archer in Phase 1 and focus solely on the horse/rider. |
|
Lucky Seventeen |
The fight with Lucky Seventeen is a test of reaction speed. Be ready to parry his rapid, chaotic strike combinations. Utilize skills that deal high Qi Stagger to open him up for a finisher move quickly. |
|
Wanderer |
In the initial encounter with Wanderer, focus primarily on dodging and surviving his wide-reaching sword swings and AOE attacks, as his health barely moves. Concentrating on defense until a cutscene triggers is the key to passing the required phase. |
|
Qianye |
The main challenge is Qianye’s rapid, red-glowing combos. Successfully parry all five hits of her Brutal Combo to stun her. When she glows or begins enchanting her weapon, often in Phase 2, use a Mystic Art like Heavenly Snatch to disarm her, making the fight much safer. |
|
Heartseeker |
In Heartseeker’s Phase 1, focus on parrying her red-glowing grab attacks. When she depletes her first health bar and starts casting a deadly red lightning storm, quickly hide behind a gravestone to avoid the devastating AOE attack. |
|
The Void King |
The Void King uses slow, charged, powerful red attacks. Performing Perfect Parries on these attacks is mandatory to build up Qi Stagger. Wait until he is stunned, maximize your damage, and use the finisher just before the stun ends. |
|
Dao Lord |
The Dao Lord relies on powerful ranged energy blasts and ethereal attacks. Use Meridian Touch or other heavy-stagger abilities to interrupt his wave blasts and any moments where he attempts to channel energy for a significant strike. |
|
Zheng the Frostwing |
Zheng the Frostwing is a ranged boss. Focus on close-range melee and quick dodges to avoid his slow-moving ice AOE attacks. Deal heavy damage after he lands a charged attack. |
|
Ye Wanshan |
Ye Wenshan often features large-scale attacks. If he summons phantom cavalry, use the Cloud Steps Mystic Art to slam down on them or focus on deflecting or parrying his initial spear thrusts to gain an opening to attack. |
|
Murong Yuan |
Murong Yuan can be tricky. Use Celestial Seize to disarm him or interrupt his charged mechanic attacks. Keep moving to avoid his significant wind AOE attacks. Learning the timing for a simple dodge and quick counter is often more reliable than a parry. |
|
Tian Ying |
Tian Ying has 3 Phases. In the first phase, learn the parry timing of his four kicks. In his second and third phase, parry the main boss to instantly defeat his clones and deal massive damage. Avoid his blitz attacks since you can’t parry them. |
|
Black God of Wealth |
The Black God of Wealth often throws money, but picking it up can inflict a "Greed" debuff. Focus on avoiding his projectile attacks and using quick ranged or leaping attacks when he pauses to 'reload' or throw money. |
All World Bosses in Where Winds Meet
World Bosses are entities you can take on that aren't part of the main storyline. They are scattered throughout the game and located in specific areas.
📌Tip: Taking them on will require a certain level, so if you haven't reached the World Boss' level recommendation, remember their location and fight them once you've leveled up.
Here are all the World Bosses in Where Winds Meet.

Boss |
Key Strategy to Beat the Boss |
|---|---|
|
Sheng Wu (The Puppeteer) |
Sheng Wu is invulnerable or heavily defended while his puppets are active. Use AOE skills like Lion's Roar to clear the summoned puppets quickly. Once the puppets are defeated, Sheng Wu becomes vulnerable for a short window. Take advantage of the opening by dealing heavy attacks. |
|
Snake Doctor |
The Snake Doctor relies heavily on Poison damage-over-time and unblockable ranged snake projectiles. Equip the Panacea Fan and bring plenty of antidotes or healing items. Attack him at close range to prevent him from spamming ranged attacks. Try to dodge the gold snake attacks rather than parrying. |
|
Earth Fiend Deity |
Earth Fiend Deity frequently uses a powerful, significant AOE attack where he swirls sand and pulls you in. Use Cloud Step to jump onto his head to interrupt this attack and leave him vulnerable. Watch for the "Underground” voiceline and parry his subsequent air-to-ground strikes. |
|
Shadow Puppeteer - Curtain Call |
Shadow Puppeteer - Curtain Call has heavy, single-hit attacks. Focus on achieving Perfect Parries on his slow, charged Red Attacks, especially the leaping slash to build up Stagger quickly. Use sideways dodges to evade his fast-charging thrusts. |
|
Shadow Puppeteer – Muqi |
Shadow Puppeteer – Muqi is a ranged boss. Use high-damage ranged attacks or Mystic Arts to put pressure on him and prevent him from setting up support or traps. |
|
Coffin Keeper Lord |
The Coffin Keeper Lord has very high HP and slow, powerful attacks. Bring high Qi Stagger martial arts, often heavy weapons, to interrupt his combo chains consistently. Use your finisher to create an extended period of vulnerability to maximize damage. |
|
Nameless General |
The Nameless General relies on a shield or heavy defense in his first phase. Use martial arts that specialize in Guard or Stamina break to shatter his defense. In Phase 2, focus on flanking him, as his front-facing attacks are highly damaging. |
|
Ghost Master |
To beat Ghost Master, use skills like Meridian Touch to dispel his projectiles and focus on high-mobility attacks to quickly close distance and deal damage with melee attacks. |
|
Twin Lions |
Since the Twin Lions are two targets that attack simultaneously, use powerful AOE skills to damage both heads simultaneously, but always position yourself to avoid having their large area attacks overlap. |
|
Drunk Striker |
The Drunk Striker uses highly unpredictable attacks. Wait for him to end a flurry of attacks and then stumble or pause. Attack during this short window before backing away to prepare for his next chaotic rush. |
|
Sleeping Daoist |
The Sleeping Daoist frequently enters a channeling or meditation stance to power up a devastating attack. Use your heaviest-hitting skills or a strong stun-based Mystic Art to interrupt him immediately before the attack can launch. |
|
Wolf Maiden |
The World Maiden is one of the fastest bosses. To win, you need to rely on mastering the dash-parry or perfect dodge timing against her quick, short-range thrusts and dashes. Deal damage to her immediately after a successful parry with a quick combo before she can initiate her next dash. |
|
Yi Dao |
Yi Dao has a very high health and defense pool. Prioritize long, relentless combos and skills designed to deplete his stamina or poise bar. Once staggered, use a full-damage combo and finisher. |
How to Beat Miaoshan (Secret End Boss) in Where Winds Meet
Miaoshan is the secret end boss in Where Winds Meet. If you want to take them on, you'll need to complete a few requirements. Here's what you need to do:
- Beat Lucky Seventeen
- Collect a Jade Crystal
- Achieve 6,000 Exploration Points in Qinghe Region.
- Complete the Puzzle at Halo Peak Tower during Wu Hour.
Once you've met the requirements, you'll have access to a hidden or locked area. You'll encounter Miaoshan and have to defeat them. Here's a guide on how.
|
Miaoshan’s Phases |
How to Beat |
|---|---|
|
Phase 1: Ranged Attacks |
This phase introduces Miaoshan's basic moveset. Use Meridian Touch or other ranged skills to interrupt his wave blasts. His staff slams are your primary parry opportunities; a successful parry will stagger him and allow you to build up his Qi Stagger bar quickly. |
|
Phase 2: Close Combat and Sand Statues |
Miaoshan switches to aggressive close-quarters monk-style attacks. The biggest threat is the sand statue attacks that can obscure your vision and damage the NPC ally if they’re summoned. Your main goal is to counterattack after his wide-arc kicks. Use jumping or aerial attacks when he leaps high to create openings. Focus on defense until the primary sand attack sequence ends. |
|
Phase 3: Invisibility and Teleportation |
Miaoshan will frequently go invisible or teleport, only to reappear right behind you for a surprise strike. You must rely on sound cues and quick reflexes to execute a Perfect Parry the moment he reappears, as his attacks are often one-shot threats. Constant movement and defensive positioning are vital; do not rely on healing in this phase. |
