Getting out with a hefty loot haul in Sand: Raiders of Sophie can be risky, and the game doesn't clearly highlight the mechanics to call for your exfil. It can be extremely risky, too, as you will be vulnerable to attacks from other enemy Tramplers. This guide will show you how you can find extraction points, how to call them, and what can happen during extraction.
Door Icons In The Map
During a match, the map will usually be covered in fog unless you explore the area, which makes finding shipwrecks and PoI sizes a mystery. However, extraction areas, marked by a door icon, will be marked on the map. As the match progresses, more extraction points will be available, and enough will appear for all players in the lobby. Once you’re in the marked area, look for two signal towers that mark the zone you need to park your Trampler.
Calling for Extraction
While between the signal towers, leave your Trampler and climb up the intact signal tower. There will be an interactive radio on top that lets you call for an extraction ship. Once activated, your Trampler will emit green smoke, and a timer will start counting down. Extraction takes 1 minute and 30 seconds, and you will be vulnerable during this window, so be ready for any player to see your ongoing exfil.
After the timer ends, your exfil ship will arrive, and you must wait an additional 20 seconds while the ship positions itself to pick up your Trampler. When the timer ends, you can interact with the ship to leave with all the cargo you have stored on your Trampler. You can also leave immediately using the escape from the exfil ship, though you won't immediately leave with your cargo until the ship leaves.
