Season 25 of Pokémon Unite introduced Feraligatr as the newest All-Rounder Pokémon, along with balance changes to many other Pokémon. This shifts the meta around for competitive and casual players, with many becoming top-tier and others in lower tiers. Here is the current tier list for every playable Pokémon in Pokémon Unite.
S Tier: The Meta-Definers
These Pokémon have risen in prominence within Ranked Mode as the best in their class and have seen consistent bans due to their damage, team utility, and fighting potential.
Zapdos
Zapdos’ kit makes it extremely oppressive to fight against in all stages of the match, especially in the early game. With its Zap Cannon and Discharge Combo, Zapdos can secure early game fights and farm Poké Balls to get the point advantage.
Machamp
Machamp is a melee powerhouse, as he gains access to powerful crit up, movement and CC immunity moves with Submission and Dynamic Punch, winning teamfights consistently once he begins an engagement.
Snorlax
Snorlax is an easy Pokémon to pick up and play, yet it remains one of the strongest tanks in the game. Despite his low damage, Snorlax can soak up tons of damage and punish enemies that engage him with sleep CCs by using Block and Yawn. In a team fight, Snorlax can start fights safely and allow his team to follow up with their own DPS Unite moves
Hoopa
Despite its seemingly complex ability, Hoopa is a strong support Pokémon with access to a versatile moveset and constant lane pressure for both top and bottom. Hyperspace Hole creates a portal that the entire team can use to rotate quickly, which in turn makes securing critical objectives easier. Hoopa’s Unite move can also be used to assemble the entire on objective zones.
A+ Tier: Strong Picks
Pokémon in this tier are solid picks for ranked mode and can help you win matches without being too overpowered. As long as you keep up in levels with the enemy team, they can get you consistent victories.
A Tier: Reliable Alternatives
A-tier Pokemons are still strong picks amongst the current roster, though they aren’t as easily powerful as some of the higher-tier picks. While they can still carry their team, they require a bit of leveling to truly pick up.
B+ Tier: Niche Competitors
Considered to be the most balanced Pokémon in this tier, B+ Pokémon are neither strong nor weak in the game. They all have their respective power spikes and fall-off periods with specific conditions to make them valuable on the team.
B Tier: Balanced Balanced Options
These Pokémon are strong in their niche and are valuable once they reach their power spike, but they have some weaknesses that enemies can take advantage of, which will snowball into a loss if they dont catch up in levels.
C Tier: Situational Performers
C-tiers currently struggle to remain meta in the current version of the game, but have some abilities that still provide utility to the team or provide solid damage only during the right conditions.
D Tier: Out of Meta
These Pokémon require only the absolute best-case scenario in a match to win, as well as a specialized build and level advantage to win a match. Their abilities haven't been updated much to the current meta for the game and have long fallen off in use.
