Marvel Rivals has brought players a fast-paced third-person shooter with a roster chock-full of heroes and villains to choose from. If you want to be the best in the game and enjoy a challenge, Competitive mode has you covered. Here’s an in-depth guide on Marvel Rivals’ Competitive Mode.
What is Competitive Mode?
Marvel Rivals’ Competitive Mode primarily focuses on teamwork and strategy to climb the ranks and enter the leaderboards. Players must grind to reach their desired rank and face off against more formidable opponents.
Players are eligible to play Competitive Mode once they reach level 10. They can start playing solo or with friends to climb the leaderboards. Once players reach Diamond, both teams can pick one Hero to ban in their match. Players can compete with teammates that are one tier higher or lower. For example, Gold players can go up against Silver, and One Above All players can engage with Celestials.
Star Count
Players participating in Competitive Mode will earn Stars, after each match they win. As players continue to win, their Star Count will grow and eventually rank up. If players lose their Competitive match, they'll also lose their Stars.
Players in Eternity to One Above All Ranks must play consistently. Inactivity will result in penalties and loss of Stars and their position on the leaderboard.
Chrono Shields
Players can earn Chrono Shields by playing Competitive Mode. These shields allow players to retain their Stars even after a loss, while also preventing them from ranking down.
Game Modes
There are three competitive game modes: Convoy, Domination, and Convergence. The matches each have multiple rounds, and teams will switch sides per round. The team with the highest score at the end wins the match.
