Diablo 4 Side Quests are generally much easier to complete than main story missions, but some can still be tricky. One such side quest, Keeping the Old Traditions, asks you to complete a riddle. There's not really a lot of information besides that, so it’s pretty unclear how to finish the whole questline. You won’t be able to smash or cut your way through this one, so you'll need to figure out how to answer the puzzle.
Diablo 4: Keeping the Old Traditions
Players can start this mission by interacting with a book in the Dry Steppes region. You can find this side quest northeast of the Jirandai Waypoint and directly north of the Champion’s Demise dungeon. Interacting with the book will open a prompt that says: “Through time-worn, you endure. Before your colorful kin, I say: Yes, I keep our traditions!” After the prompt appears, your map will highlight areas you need to go to so that you can progress with the quest.
How to Solve the Keeping the Old Traditions Riddle
The tracker will eventually lead you to a large statue etched alongside a wall. There aren’t any clear indicators on what to do after you reach the area. However, all you need to do is go to the front of the construct and use your “Yes” emote. If it’s not in your action wheel, you can click the customize button and slot it in. After you perform the gesture, a treasure chest will appear, and Keeping the Old Traditions will be marked as complete.
