In Black Myth: Wukong, players can use many weapons in their journey to the West, each with their own perks and weaknesses. The Dark Iron Staff is one of the strongest weapons available and is an actual game-changer. This staff will make all fights considerably easier, particularly if you know how to handle it properly. Unfortunately, collecting this weapon is a bit difficult since you’ll need to fulfill certain conditions first. No need to worry though. What is the Dark Iron Staff
This staff is a mythical tier weapon that gives a significant boost to attack power, which is scaled to the player’s defense. Thus, the higher your defense, the more damage you’ll be outputting — making it a beast in terms of power. Not only does this staff give a boost to attack power, but it also provides additional defensive resistance, making you even more durable. Here’s a quick rundown of what we just discussed:
- Attack 110
- Burn Resistance 5
- Unique Effect: Significantly increase your Attack power based on your Defense
This weapon is a BiS for Wukong because it significantly boosts your offense without sacrificing your Defense. This ensures you can deal tons of damage and tank more hits than most other weapons.
How Do You Get This Weapon
Before using this weapon, you’ll need to finish the game at least once since you can only obtain it in New Game+. However, it would help if you progressed further into NG+ before finding the materials and recipe. You’ll need to get to Chapter 5 and unlock the Secret Area to access the zone holding the materials for this staff.
The material you’ll be looking for is the Bull King’s Iron Horns. And, this item only drops from the Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast, the final boss in the Bishui Cave Secret Area. You must complete the Five Elemental Carts Quest first, which shouldn’t be hard once you finish the game. It would help if you still beat Baw-Lang-Lang and Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top to reach the Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast.
Beating this boss will yield you four Bull King’s Iron Horns, but you’ll only need two of them to craft the Dark Iron Staff. You shouldn’t worry about crafting this weapon at the cost of these two materials if you are also trying to craft the Bull King Armor Set. You’ll need six pieces of this resource in total, and you get four of them every time you fight the Secret Boss in the Bishui Cave. You can craft both after defeating the Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast twice. Once you obtain both, any subsequent bosses you fight become much more bearable.
How to Beat the Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast
This boss is demanding due to his aggressive attacks, and on top of all that, the fight is taking place in a lava arena. It would help if you had burn resistance to survive this encounter because most of his attacks are fire-based. Players should bring the Flameproof Mantle for this battle. There are also moments wherein you might get thrown into the lava so that burn resistance will give you more survivability. To get the Flameproof Mantle, you’ll need to beat Elder Jinchi in the Ancient Guanyin Temple in Chapter 1.
