Battlefield 6 Season 4 Best Boat Loadouts

With the release of Tsuru Reef and Wake Island in Battlefield 6 Season 4, this marks the return of naval warfare with new boat types for you to try. Like most vehicles, you can customize your boat with different weapons, gadgets, and passives to use in combat, whether to duel other enemy vessels or escape from anti-tank enemies. Here are some of the best boat loadouts you can try right now in BF6.

All-Rounder Loadout

This loadout does everything: anti-infantry, anti-air, and anti-boat. With this set-up, you can cover most bases in fights while also providing some utility for your team with the Illumination Mortars. Here are the weapons and gadgets you should take:

  • Primary: Autocannon
  • Secondary: Aim Guided Missiles
  • Equipment 1: Thermal Smoke
  • Equipment 2: Sea Spear
  • Gunner: Illumination Smoke

The Autocannon is a powerful anti-infantry and light vehicle weapon with its splash damage capable of hitting infantry behind or through cover. The Aim Guided Missiles will cover the air for you, as while it is initially wire-guided, it will eventually become self-guided when near aircraft, which almost guarantees a hit for you.

For your equipment, the Thermal Smoke will help you break locks against other aircraft or anti-tank infantry. Meanwhile, the Sea Spear is a wire-guided torpedo that can deal massive damage to other boats, though be aware that enemies can see the torpedo, so use it when you're in close range.

Your gunner slot should be the Illumination Mortar to mark targets for your team, which should help them secure zones faster against defenders.

Alternatives and Weapons to Avoid

The Lock On Missiles are a decent alternative if you want to simply deter incoming helicopters and jets from approaching you, but be aware that these can be countered by flares. The Airburst Mortar is also a good Gunner weapon as long as you have friendly Recons marking targets or another boat with Illumination Mortars.

As for weapons to avoid, the Naval Mines are quite weak and easily counterable by primary fire. HE Guided Mortars are extremely niche since not many players run a Laser Designator to mark targets.
