Updated Battlefield 6 Weapon Tier List (2026)

Battlefield 6's Season 4 launch has introduced three new guns to your loadouts: The BROD 3 carbine, EF88 assault rifle, and VSSM DMR. These weapons, along with updates to recoil and limb multipliers, have shaken up the weapon meta for most lobbies, with some becoming a staple and others falling off the meta. Here is the current tier list of BF6 weapons for Season 4.

Assault Rifles

Weapon

Rank

Notes

M433

S

This weapon remains the most versatile in the game, with consistent recoil and damage profiles across most ranges. While it's primarily made for close engagements, it can be built with more muzzle velocity and range to compete with long-range ARs.

B36A4

S

Like the M433, the B36A4 is a great balanced weapon for many ranges thanks to its manageable recoil and damage falloff distances.

NVO

S

The NVO has a forgiving TTK value thanks to its high damage per shot, making it potent in both close and mid-range engagements.

EF88

A

Its bloom is quite high with a slightly off recoil pattern, but it is an effective mid-range weapon once you learn to fire it at controlled bursts.

AK-4D

A

The weapon still excels at long-range and can even be built with some recoil mitigation attachments for better ease of use. This is balanced out with its poor close-range performance.

L85A3

A

The L85A3 is a jack-of-all-trades weapon that does well in longer ranges, but cannot output much damage in CQC. Still, it's a consistent weapon that is easy to use with its low recoil.

M16

A

The M16 is a consistent weapon that thrives in mid-range engagements, longer if you switch to its burst fire mode.

TR7

A

The TR7 has a powerful damage profile that can consistently 3-tap enemies to the chest, but its high recoil makes it unwieldy at longer ranges. Still, its close-range power is not to be underestimated due to its high TTK within its range.

SOR-55 MK2

C

Despite being a long-range weapon, its TTK value is too long, as it doesn't deal enough damage and fires too slowly for those fast kills. There are better long-range weapon options that can down targets reliably.

VCR-2

C

Despite the changes to random recoil, the VCR-2's recoil is still uncontrollable. Since it competes with other close-range weapons, the VCR-2 lacks any defining features that beat out better SMGs.

Carbines

Weapon

Rank

Notes

SG553R

S

For a carbine, this weapon has the damage and fire rate to give it a quick and forgiving TTK, making it the perfect close- to medium-range weapon.

M4A1

S

Like its assault rifle variant, the M4A1 is highly configurable for mid- to long-range work, with its low recoil allowing you to stay on target.

BROD 3

S

The BROD 3 is as versatile as the M433, with its ability to work well in most ranges and its fast RPM is a nice bonus that makes it more forgiving to hit the optimal TTK.

M277

A

The weapon is very accurate at mid to long range and can be rewarding for accurate players, but its low base magazine capacity makes it somewhat unforgiving in fights if you miss.

GRT-BC

A

The GRT-BC is one of the jack-of-all-trades archetypes, being a balanced weapon with good recoil management, range, and TTK, but lacks the specialization that some players may want.

QBZ-192

A

It has solid performance in all fronts, but what brings it down a notch is its lack of customization options for attachments to make the weapon a little easier to use.

M417 A2

A

The weapon has a powerful damage profile that gives it a high TTK, which could make it S-tier if not for its high recoil and low magazine capacity.

AK-205

B

The AK-205 has an extremely low TTK, which essentially makes you lose 1v1 fights unless you get the drop on your target first.

SMGs

Weapon

Rank

Notes

SGX

S

The SGX has a great TTK value, recoil control, and a good mag size for most situations, and is a great starting weapon for Engineers.

CZ3A1

S

Its high RPM and low recoil make this weapon a veritable bullet hose that can be forgiving, as you can afford to miss some shots with it in close range.

PW5

A

The weapon can be used for mid-range with its lesser recoil, but has a little less punch compared to the SGX.

PW7

A

Very similar to the PW5 in its role as an SMG with mid-range capabilities.

USG90

A

Its 50-round capacity and high muzzle velocity make this a forgiving weapon for new players, though it has high recoil that may require controlled bursts to use reliably at range.

KV9

A

It has an extremely fast TTK that, if done right, guarantees you a kill in close quarters. However, its low magazine capacity forces you to be careful with your aim before firing.

SL9

A

This gun is flexible in most ranges as it has an easy-to-control recoil and good TTK in close to mid-range.

UMG-40

B

This gun only excels at mid-range and nowhere else, forcing you to stay in specific ranges to justify its use in a firefight.

SCW-10

B

The SCW-10 is the king of close-range weapons with its high damage per shot and 800 rpm fire rate, shredding anyone within short range. However, past mid-range, its damage falls off steeply.

LMGs

Weapon

Rank

Notes

DRS-IAR

S

It is a powerful weapon that's capable of securing kills at most ranges while having the handling of an assault rifle.

RPKM-74

S

This LMG not only operates well at long ranges, but it has a higher fire rate that can reliably kill faster than some LMGs.

M250

A

The only weapon in game with no damage fall-off, but lacks the magazine capacity to make it function as a true LMG.

M121A2

A

This is a very strong weapon when optimally built; however, its extremely long reload time will put you out of the fight longer than normal for most engagements.

RPKM

A

This LMG has the highest base damage out of all LMGs and can perform well in most ranges, but its low RPM can be troublesome in 1v1 engagements.

M123K

A

Extremely strong CQC LMG, but its long reload animation requires you to pace your fights, as getting caught while reloading is a death sentence.

KTS100 MK8

B

Slow, steady firing. Good at range, but don't expect to win close-range engagements or high RPM users as it has a slow fire rate.

L110

B

It is a solid LMG for most cases, but it competes against the DRS-IAR, which is better overall

M240L

C

Compared to the M121A2, its stat performance is much worse, with its only upside being that it can equip a rail cover.

DMRs

Weapon

Rank

Note

SVK-8.6

S

The SVK has an extremely forgiving damage value that can effectively 2-tap enemies to the body.

SVDM

A

Very strong DMR with a fast RPM, but deals slightly less damage than the SVK, so it's a little less forgiving in TTK.

GRT-CPS

B

It is a fast RPM DMR, but its damage output is somewhat low, which requires you to get multiple shots in a row to secure a kill at long range.

M39 EMR

C

This weapon is a worse SVDM, with an even lower TTK and more unforgiving accuracy requirements.

Sniper Rifles

Weapon

Rank

Note

Mini Scout

S

The Mini Scout reaps all the benefits of a sniper rifle while being extremely easy to use.

M2010 ESR

A

A very good weapon with access to a rangefinder, but lacks the same punch as the Mini Scout.

SV-98

A

It has a high muzzle velocity and rangefinder that new players can easily use, but has less damage overall in exchange for its ease of use.

L115

A

The L115 has the longest range out of all sniper rifles, but requires mastery over other sniper rifles to really bring out its effectiveness.

PSR

B

Its slow handling makes this quite tough for more aggressive snipers and encourages camping, which can be lethal if they get spotted.
