Arknights Endfield: Best Team Comp and Build for Tangtang

Attention Endmins, the Supreme Chief of the Qing Bo Stockade is here! Tangtang is the latest 6-Star Cryo operator to join Endfield Industries, making her the 3rd 6-Star Cryo operator. She features a unique ultimate mechanic that requires players to perform a dive attack to maximize its damage, and she is the best source for consistent and easy Cryo Inflictions. Tangtang is an amazing addition for any Cryo team looking to amp their damage output and in need of some battlefield control. But to get the most out of her, players need to know who to pair her with and which gear set is best. Here is the definitive guide to getting the most out of Tangtang.

Tangtang - Da Supreme Chief

Core Attributes

  • Primary Stat: Agility
  • Secondary Stat: Strength
  • Class: Caster
  • Weapon: Handcannon
  • Element: Cryo
  • Rarity: 6* Operator

Best Team Compositions (Cryo Synergy)

Last Rite DPS Team

  • Main DPS: Last Rite
  • Sub-DPS: Tangtang
  • Support 1/ Healer: Xaihi
  • Support 2/ Flex Pick: Fluorite

Why

Last Rite is one of the best dedicated DPS in the game, but she requires specific teams to maximize her potential. Before Tangtang, the LR DPS team struggled to apply Cryo Inflictions consistently. But thanks to our supreme chief, she can solve this problem using her Battle Skill: Ima Wave Ridah, a consistent source of Cryo Infliction. Tangtang herself deals a great deal of damage, essentially making her a requirement for getting the most mileage from Cryo teams.

Yvonne DPS Team (Best Use for Tangtang)

  • Main DPS: Yvonne
  • Sub-DPS: Tangtang
  • Support 1/ Healer: Gilberta
  • Support 2/ Flex Pick: Xaihi

Why

Yvonne is the best single-target DPS in the game by far, and no one is even coming close to her. That being said, she tends to struggle in dealing with multiple enemies all at once, and she tends to get overwhelmed in higher difficulty content. Thankfully, the supreme chief is here to bail this team out of sticky situations using her Ultimake Skill: Da Chief Sees You. This Ultimate Skill is one of the best ways to deal with numerous enemies, thanks to the CC it provides. It gives Yvonne enough time to pick them off or to take down the biggest and baddest enemy.

Luxury Cryo Team

  • Main DPS: Tangtang
  • Sub-DPS: Last Rite
  • Support 1/ Healer: Ardelia
  • Support 2/ Flex Pick: Gilberta

Why

If you find yourself blessed by RNG to pull this off, then hats off to you. This team is less about efficiency and more about showing off; however, it doesn't mean it can't be usable. Tangtang, as the controlled Operator, can be extremely fun to play as. Her voice lines and quirky attitude make running around Talos-II a blast. Her kit is self-sufficient, and while she is great as a sub-DPS, she isn't the best for main DPS. In essence, she fills a role similar to Lifeng's, enabling her team to deal more damage and serving as a consistent source of debuffs and CC.

Best in Slot Gear Pieces

Armor Bonekrusha Heavy Armor T2
Gloves Bonekrusha Wristband T1
Auxillary 1 Bonekrusha Mask T2
Auxillary 2 Bonekrusha Mask T2

Why

Bonekrusha is the best overall to get the most damage out of Tangtang, thanks to the Gear Set Combo, where Combo Skills add damage for her next Battle Skill cast. There is an alternative gear set for players considering using Tangtang as a support. The Tide Surge gear set is an excellent alternative for players leaning towards using her mainly for CC, thanks to the ultimate generation of Tide Surge.

Best in Slot Weapon Options

Signature Weapon: Brigands Calling

As a somewhat universal rule of thumb, 6* Operators' best weapon is usually their signature weapon, as it is designed to fit their kit. Brigands Calling grants the user a massive 150 Agility boost and an impressive 39% Attack boost. Its signature skill: Detonate: Brigands Bane grants Tangtang a crazy amount of bonus damage while simultaneously causing her enemies to take more damage.

Alternative Weapon: Home Longing

If obtaining her signature weapon is not possible, the second-best would be Home Longing, which can be obtained through the battle pass. It is a decent alternative to her signature weapon, but it does fall short in providing more damage. It activates when the character uses a Combo Skill, and they gain a buff to their damage.

F2P/Budget Alternative: Opus the Living

F2P players are on the short end of the stick when it comes to finding the right weapon for Tangtang to use. Choices are extremely limited thanks to her kit, and most Handcannons do not really favor Cryo operators. Opus the Living is the best option for F2P, as it's easier to acquire than the BiS choice and even the second choice.
