The Haalvu weapon is one of the first weapons to have the innate Sentient damage type, which causes enemies inflicted with Sentient damage to take a 100% status chance debuff, making them susceptible to massive procs. As a rifle weapon, the Haalvu can get some powerful builds that can clear groups of enemies. This guide will show you the best builds and how you can get this weapon.
How To Get The Haalvu
The Haalvu is currently only available to players who link their Warframe accounts to Twitch and watch the 2026 Tennocon livestream. However, much like previous Tennocon drop weapons such as the AX-52, the Haalvu can be obtained from the Syndicate merchant for the Warframe: Tau update.
Haalvu Features
This weapon is the first to come with innate Tau damage. Its unique status effect causes enemies afflicted with the Tau status to have a 10% higher status chance, up to 10 stacks. This makes status builds since going beyond 100% status chance gives your weapon an extra chance to apply either of its other elements on a shot or to apply the same status twice.
The Haalvu's primary fire is full-auto and spools up like a minigun, increasing its rate of fire as you hold down the trigger. It also has an alt-fire mode that splits the weapon into multiple rifles that automatically lock on to nearby targets with homing projectiles. Like the Basmu, it has a rechargeable battery mechanism with infinite ammo and a constantly replenishing battery.
Best Haalvu Mods and Arcane Build
While the weapon can be built for critical chance thanks to its innate 25% crit chance, this build focuses on stacking Heat procs on an enemy while also applying enough Viral statuses to weaken them. For mods, you'll want to slot in the following:

And for the Arcane, Primary Crux will add 60% Ammo Efficiency on Weakspot hits and 30% more Status Chance to successfully stack more Heat and Viral procs. The Heat status effect can stack indefinitely and increase to extreme levels. It can also temporarily strip 50% armor after 2 seconds, which can help deal with Grineer and other armored enemies.
