Where to Get Troilite 

The best place to get Troilite is in the Root Canyon Biome. Here's what you need to do to reach the biome. 

• Directions: Starting from your initial Lifepod, travel exactly 2,000 meters East. 

• Depth: You'll need to dive down to a depth of 400 meters. 

• Visual Cues: You'll know you've reached Root Canyon when you spot a distinct glowing pool at the center of the biome. As you approach, keep an eye out for a noticeable green glow illuminating the dark waters. 

Because Root Canyon is located 400 meters down, you should not attempt this journey unprotected. It's highly recommended that you build the Tadpole submarine for faster and safer travel. Equip your submarine with the Tadpole Depth Module Mk. 1 to withstand the crushing pressure at 400 meters. 

Once you're in Root Canyon, don't ascend too high. A Collector Leviathan patrols the waters above the biome. If you swim too high, you can risk alerting it, prompting an immediate attack. It's best to stick around the glowing pools. 

How to Harvest Troilite

You can't simply pick up Troilite or break it with your starting tools. It spawns inside a massive glowing green cluster known as Mineralized Clinkers. Since the clusters are too large and dense to break, you need to craft the Sonic Resonator to break apart the Mineralized Clinkers and harvest the Troilite inside.
