The Subnautica 2 early access is officially open. Just like its predecessors, the game hinges on the sense of isolation, beauty, and dread. Most of it is driven by the game's flora and fauna, but there is an apex creature that players fear the most: Leviathans. Since the sequel takes place on a new planet, you won't encounter the Reaper or Ghost Leviathans. Instead, you'll meet new creatures and ecosystems. If you want to know more about the new apex creatures in the game, here's a guide on all the Leviathans in Subnautica 2.
All Leviathans in Subnautica 2
There are currently 5 Leviathans in the game. These are hard to find and will require significant resources to reach their primary location. If you want to locate them, here's a complete guide on all the Leviathans in Subnautica 2.

Collector Leviathan |
Hostile (Squid-like) |
This creature is a deadly, solitary predator. To locate it, you should head roughly 950 meters directly east from the Lifepod and dive deep into the depths. Its approximate starting coordinates are -239662, 427597, 0. |
Deepwing Brooder Leviathan |
Docile |
This creature travels in packs and regularly drops numerous egg-like blobs. Because it can dynamically appear anywhere on the map, intentionally tracking it down is incredibly difficult. |
Shiver Leviathan |
Highly Hostile |
These predators are incredibly fast and aggressive, and typically travel in packs, with a massive female in the center surrounded by males. They will spawn once you cross the red barrier area, and flares do not work against them. |
Great Jaw Leviathan |
Hostile (Clam-like) |
This creature closely resembles a giant clam. If you linger inside its open shell, its appendages will snap shut to trap you inside while it releases deadly toxins. You can find one at the third Tadpole submarine fragment location. |

The World Tree |
Passive (Titan-class) |
This massive, mysterious Titan-class organism is easily visible on the horizon whenever you surface from the ocean. The player can't scan it, and reaching it requires crossing the dangerous Void, home to Shiver Leviathans. |
