In Path of Exile 2 The Third Edict, there are plenty of endgame changes coming with the new update. More map biomes will be added to the Atlas, each containing new monsters and enemies to fight. These also include new, more powerful Support Gems for your slot in your skills, along with other endgame rewards. Make sure you're up to date and have all the PoE 2 Currency you need, like Divine Orbs or Mirror of Kalandra! Here is what you can expect in this Atlas update.
3 New Map Events and Rewards
While in the Atlas, you may come across Sandstorms that trouble a region, a Maelstrom near a body of water, or a Vaal Vault that leads to an Elite enemy. Each of these events will guarantee an Uber version of the Act 4 bosses and the Interlude acts.
Clearing any of these events or just playing the endgame may reward you with Lineage Support Gems, which act as the game’s Unique version of Support Gems. Each of these grants special, build-defining boosts to your skill, making them very powerful and valuable finds.
To enter the Sandstorm, Maelstrom, and Vaal Vault, you must clear 3 maps right next to them to unlock them.
- For the Sandstorm, you must activate a device from the 3 adjacent maps to open the way, leading to the boss Azmadi, the Faridun Prince.
- For the Maelstrom, you must destroy 3 beacons in the maps adjacent to it. Finally, for the.
- Lastly, for the Vaal Vault, you'll need to clear any of the maps next to it until an enemy drops an Idol of Estazunti. This is the key to unlock the Vault and slay the boss inside.
Pinnacle Boss Accessibility
Every League event you clear in a map will now drop stackable Splinters, respectively, according to the type of content. When depositing your Splinters into the Realmgate, you can now select the difficulty of the Pinnacle boss, with the easiest costing 50 Splinters and the hardest costing 100 Splinters.
This change is to make challenging Pinnacle bosses early easier for players who want to experience the content.
Lastly, the leveling experience upon reaching the endgame will be adjusted to make it easier to reach level 90 and beyond while completing maps.
