Marathon’s DCONs are one way to extract your items mid-run without calling an exfil. This means you can empty your backpack of loot while still being in the run, giving you more time to loot and make even more money. They’re also part of some Priority and Standard contracts, as you must extract certain items using a DCON. This guide will help you find them and when they will spawn.
DCON Spawn Time
Like Exfils, DCONs only spawn after a certain amount of time has passed in a run. Since they do not appear at the first minute of the run, you must wait at least 5 minutes until the DCON units spawn on the map. The DCON has 8 item slots for storage. Once you deposit your materials, they will go directly into your stash, giving you more room in your bag.
📌Note: If you’re doing a contract that specifies delivering an item to a DCON, exfiltrating the item normally will not count towards contract progress. You must use the station to progress your contracts. Your crew members can also progress your contract for you if they use one and submit the required items.
Perimeter DCON Locations
Luckily, you can see the exact locations of the DCONs in your map, but for reference, here are all the exact locations of every unit in Perimeter:
- Northwest of the North Relay location, on top of a building.
- West of Overflow
- On a building at the very south of South Relay
- North of Station
Dire Marsh DCON Locations
- On a building northwest of the outskirts of Greenhouse
- Southwest of Quarantine
- On a building cornering AI Uplink and Complex
Currently, Outpost and Cryo Archive are not available for the Server Slam, but will have DCONs once Marathon officially goes live.
