Last Epoch Diamond Matron Location

Last Epoch Diamond Matron Location

Last Epoch has many enemies—some are weak, while others can pose a severe threat. The latter includes the Diamond Matrons, one of Nagasa’s enemies. They can be an annoying enemy to face since they have the ability to heal themselves and their allies. But if you want to get those rare equipment drops, you have no choice but to face them. In this guide, we’ll divulge all the details on where you can find and farm these Diamond Matrons.

Where to Find Diamond Matrons in Last Epoch

Since Diamond Matrons serve Majasa, you can find them on Temple Rooftops, the Lower Temple, and the Upper Temple in the Maj'elka region (Divine Era). I recommend visiting the Upper Temple if you want to fight them again after exploring since they often spawn in that area.

There are three spawn points in the Upper Temple. One is on the furthest left, the other is on the further right, and the last area is just on the right-hand corner for the first spawn point I mentioned. You can blaze through these points if you already have a high level. Then, simply rinse and repeat the level by resetting it. You can “reset” the area by fast traveling in and out of the Upper Temple. Just teleport to another waypoint and come back.

You can also try your luck in Last Epoch’s Monoliths They spawn in these locations:

  • Ending The Storm
  • The Age of Winter
  • Reign Of Dragons
  • The Stolen Lance

This is a pretty large spread to encounter the Diamond Matrons in, but be aware that the enemies you meet in these Monoliths still depend on the RNG. If a Prophecy tasks you with killing a certain number of Diamond Matrons, then you’re in luck.

Defeating Diamond Matrons in Last Epoch

Finding Diamond Matrons is the easy part, but now you’ll have to deal with them. They’re tough to defeat if you don’t know what you’re doing, especially when mobs surround the Matrons. Here are the Diamond Matron’s abilities:

  • Healing Hand - When Diamond Matrons are in low health, they’ll use this spell to heal themselves and all allies nearby.
  • Light Beam - A Light Beam shoots out of the sky and follows you from the ground for a short duration.
  • Light Wave - Diamond Matrons will create shock waves that deal damage using their weapons.

The Light Beam and Light Wave can be dodged fairly easily using your movement skills or simply clicking your left mouse button, but Healing Hand can be frustrating to deal with if you’re not using the right tactics. When facing a Diamond Matron, the best thing to do is to fight them alone. The Light Beam is heavily telegraphed, so you should have plenty of time to move out of the way before it triggers. Once you’ve dodged, keep moving while the beam follows you. Keep your guard up once Light Wave is triggered, which throws down a yellow circle of energy that telegraphs with Light Beam. This will damage anyone in close or mid-range. Once you see that attack, stand clear of the Matron and wait until it’s done.

Before attacking the Diamond Matron, make sure to kill all the mobs and enemies nearby so her Healing Hand won’t affect anyone as much besides herself. You can also lure the Diamond Matron away from the enemies so her Healing Hand doesn’t reach them, but this can be a challenge since smaller monsters tend to be fast runners. Moreover, while Diamond Matrons use their Light Beam, they can’t use their other attacks. Use this window to deal damage and end their demise.
