Despite the similarities between the two games, mining ore in Hytale is completely different from Minecraft. Hytale follows RPG mechanics, and as such, the rarity and level of ore are dependent on zone level.
Hytale Mining: Quick Tips to Get Started
- Most ore can be mined with an Iron Pickaxe
- Exploration and spelunking will net more ore than strip mining
- Some mobs can also drop ores and whole ingots
- Mithril is NOT in the game yet and is only available in Creative mode
