The race to Cyberstan in Helldivers 2 has begun, and the Cyborgs have made their presence known to Super Earth. There are over 3 new units for the Automaton front, and one of them has dominated the battlefield with its imposing presence. This guide will discuss these new units and their strengths and weaknesses.
Vox Engine
This brand-new tank unit is a massive elite that only appears in Megafactory. Unlike the Hive Lord, the Vox Engine can appear in Bot Drops and is not considered a boss. It has one automatic minigun turret on each tread, and those can be shot off. Its main cannons are similar to Bunker turrets and will ragdoll you if you get hit.
The Vox Engine has Tank armor and requires Anti-Tank I penetration to deal damage. It can withstand three Bastion tank shots, as well as three Thermite grenades to its main body. Its glowing spots on its torso and its underside are weakspots, requiring less penetration to damage.
Radicals
Radicals are one of the new chaff units in the game and are extremely aggressive compared to the standard unarmored Bot soldiers and Devastators. They will generally try to rush to your position towards melee range while blasting their arm cannons. Radicals are extremely accurate and can kill you quickly if you’re in the open. Once they reach you, they will kick you, causing you to ragdoll. These enemies have light armor, but have more health and will require about half a magazine of Liberator ammo to kill.
Agitators
This unit also has an armored variant that grants it Medium armor. However, they share the same armor ablation mechanic as the Illuminate Overseers, as you can shoot it off their body with Light armor penetration and expose the flesh to small arms fire. They act as the commander unit for basic Automaton units
