Most dialogue choices in Dispatch are there for flavor, but there are specific moments in the game where your decision can drastically change the story. To help you better decide and not be taken by surprise, this guide will list all the story-changing choices for both episodes. Be aware that this will contain spoilers.
Episode 1 Choices
Robert Interrogating Goon
When Robert starts interrogating the Soothing Goon on Shroud’s location, you can choose either option:
- Let him drop
- Pull him back
Outcome: The next scene with the goon will change based on whether he lands on the mattress when you let him drop or not.
Punt or Stomp Goon
When Mecha Man meets with the goon again, you get to choose to either:
- Punt
- Stomp
Outcome: Mecha Man’s robot will attack the goon based on your choice, either kicking him out of the warehouse or stomping him on the ground. Otherwise, there’s not much change to the outcome.
Mecha Man Interview: How disappointed would your dad be if he were here right now?
During the last interview with Mecha Man, a reporter will ask him how his father would react to him quitting. You get to choose the following:
- Answer
- Leave
- Attack
Outcome: Answering the question earns you more reputation, while attacking the reporter lowers it. Leaving doesn't affect your reputation.
Punch With Right Hand or Left Hand
During the scene where Mecha Man tries to stop thugs from stealing TVs in a shop, you get to decide which hand you punch a thug with. You can either:
- Punch with right hand
- Punch with left hand
Outcome: If you choose punch with right, the thug will counter and hit Mecha Man with his crowbar. If you punch with the left, Mecha Man will catch the thug by surprise and knock him out.
Alcohol or Water
While Mecha Man is in the superhero bar, Flambae will harass him. While this is happening, you get to throw either:
- Water
- Alcohol
Outcome: Throwing water at Flambae will cause him to lose a tooth, while throwing alcohol at him will burn off his eyebrows, as shown in Episode 2.
Blonde Blazer Romance Scene
Near the end of Episode 1, you are given the following choices:
- Kiss Blonde Blazer
- Let the moment pass
Outcome: Choosing to kiss Blonde Blazer sets up a potential romance with her in the future, while letting the moment pass will close it off in the future.
Episode 2 Choices
Bro Fist or Do Not Bro Fist Royd
During Robert’s first meeting with Royd, ro could either
- Bro fist
- Do not bro fist
Outcome: If you bro fist Royd, you get a better relationship with him. Choosing not to will slightly weaken it.
Disarm Granny or Take Out Thief
During a standoff situation with Invisigal and an armed suspect, you can order her to:
- Disarm Granny
- Take Out Thief
Outcome: Whichever choice you make, Invisigal will do the opposite. She will try to take out the thief if you order her to disarm Granny, but telling her to disarm Granny will make her fight the thief.
Snitching on Invisigal
While reporting to Blonde Blazer on Invisigal’s mission, and after she punches Robert in the face, his nose will be bleeding, which you can either tell Blonde Blazer that:
- The air is dry
- Inivisigal punched me
- I bumped my head
Outcome: If you tell Blonde Blazer that Inivisgal punched you, this will lower your relationship with her. Other options will maintain your current relationship with her.
Blonde Blazer Date
There are two dialogue choices near the end of Episode 2. When talking to Blonde Blzer, you can either tell her:
- Thanks for setting this up
- I’m glad I’m here too
- Do you want to grab dinner?
Outcome: Asking her to go out with you to grab dinner will make her remember that choice, while other choices do nothing.
Afterwards, Phenomaman will appear and reveal that he is Blonde Blazer’s boyfriend. He will invite Robert to come to dinner with him, letting you pick three choices:
- Sorry, I already ate
- Yeah, sounds fun
- Gotta get home to my dog
Outcome: Telling him Yeah, sounds fun will lower your relationship with Blonde Blazer, while either option will increase it.
