Peak: Mesa Biome Walkthrough Guide and New Items

Peak's latest update is now available, featuring a new biome: Mesa. It's a desert biome where heat is your worst enemy. Aside from the new Mesa biome, the update also added new items to survive the new biome. Here's an in-depth guide on Peak's Mesa Biome and new items.

What is the Mesa Biome in Peak

Mesa is a new biome that focuses on heat and desert hazards. Think of it as the opposite of Alpine. Instead of freezing blizzards, you get intense heat waves. Mesa will be part of the new rotation and will be replacing Alpine.

The biome will be available for a whole week after the launch of the new update. After the week is over, the maps will rotate to either Alpine or Mesa. So, if you want to try out the new biome, you should hop on Peak while it's available for a week.

Peak Mesa Biome Walkthrough

Now that you know the basic information about Mesa, here's how to survive the new biome. Just like other biomes in Peak, you'll have to climb up. What makes Mesa different is the intense heat exposure resulting from its desert terrain.

Shade is limited, and you'll need new items, such as Sunscreen, Parasols, and aloe vera, to recover from the heat effect. Avoid hot rocks in Mesa, as they have the same effects as those in Caldera. Whenever possible, take breaks in the shade and use the items to keep yourself alive during the climb.

Luckily, there are areas in Mesa where you can cool down. Aside from shade, there are Capybaras spread across the biome. They'll be chilling in their pool, where you can jump in to break the heat. The Capybara pools act as permanent cooling zones, so if you see one, cool down and continue the journey to the peak.

🎵 Note: Playing the Music Pipe in the Capybara Pool will get you the Animal Serenading Achievement.

New Mesa Biome Items in Peak
