Higher Tier Class

General Overview

`Fighter

Warrior, Weapon Master, Berserker

The basic melee attack class. The fighter is a class meant for beginners, so they don’t have the utility for certain battles and thus will be needing support from other classes.

Knight

Sentinel, Holy Saber, Spartan

The knight is part of the tank class, allowing you to soak up some fatal damage. Knights are great for raid battles as they provide damage-reducing abilities, making them a great asset for the team.

Priest

Cleric, Bishop, Sage

Also part of the tank class, the priest is also a healer at the same time. By granting status immunity and removing ailments suffered by a team, the priest is a great support class that’s perfect for any situation.

Wizard

Sorcerer, Hermit, Warlock

Wizards focus on unleashing burst damage in short turns. While their class lacks the utility for more difficult battles, you will at least permanently increase your skill damage.

Thief

Raider, Hawkeye, Bandit Tycoon

While thieves aren’t really all that effective in battle, they more than make up for it by raising an enemy’s drop rate. You can do massive damage that is based on the enemy’s current state, but this class is mainly used to unlock other job classes.

Enhancer

Arcana Dueler, Dark Fencer, Chaos Ruler

The enhancer is one of the best classes in Granblue Fantasy. An enhancer’s main objective is to debuff enemies and give them status ailments to cripple them. This role is perfect for raid battles.

Grappler

Kung Fu Artist, Ogre, Luchador

The grappler is a DPS role similar to that of the monk class in other RPG games. The main weapon is, you guessed it, fists. The Luchador notably is a strong DPS class that has a whole slew of abilities that the fighter role does not have.

Ranger

Archer, Sidewinder, Nighthound

If you like dealing damage without getting too close to the enemy, the ranger is the one for you. Able to weaken enemies and dodge incoming attacks, the ranger is a solid class to try.

Harpist

Bard, Superstar, Elysian

The harpist is a class that buffs allies. With the ability to charm enemies and buff the attacks of allies when unlocked as the Elysian, this class is worth it late in the game and is regarded as one of the strongest buff-givers.

Lancer

Dragoon, Valkyrie, Apsaras

While their class is sort of limited compared to the others that can provide more support and utility, the lancers have an ability to raise the attack rates of allies and dish out burst attacks that can weaken bosses when doing raids. Being a DPS role, the lancer is a class that’s similar to a fighter.
