Diablo IV’s 12th Season has a lot in store for ARPG players. The Season of Slaughter provides brand-new ways for players to experience the game. Players will be ripping and tearing through the hordes of hell in cosmetics inspired by Doom: The Dark Ages.
In keeping with the Doom theme, Blizzard has reintroduced the killstreak mechanic found in Diablo III as well as Doom games, and with those mechanics comes a brand-new type of item with unique affixes: Bloodied. The brand-new items are meta shakers and are must-haves to compete for the top spot on the leaderboards this season. Here is your guide to finding Bloodied items and how Killstreaks have been implemented.
Killstreaks and Bloodied Affixes
Season 12 brings back the killstreak mechanic, rewarding players for chaining enemy kills without breaking momentum. Unlike Diablo III’s Power Globes and Nephalem Glory buffs, Diablo IV’s version focuses on progression. Large killstreaks grant significant bonus XP and interact directly with the new Bloodied affixes, which scale their power based on killstreak tiers and total kills.
💡Tip: Maintaining long kill chains is key to maximizing the power of Bloodied gear.

Where and how to get Bloodied Gear
Slaughterhouse and Hell Tides
A reliable way for Bloodied items to drop is by participating in activities that let you play as The Butcher. By slaughtering hordes and hordes of enemies, players earn a steady amount of Fresh Meat with the occasional chance for Bloodied items to drop.
The Butcher Seasonal Vendor in Gea Kul
By far the most consistent source of Bloodied items would be purchasing them from the new Butcher seasonal vendor using Fresh Meat. The vendor functions similarly to the Purveyor of Curiosities, where players can gamble for the last piece of gear they need to complete their build.
