Season 14 of Diablo 4 has a massive update to item crafting with a brand new modifier for your standard Uniques with the Mythic modifier. While the game still has its much-coveted Mythic Uniques like Harlequin Crest and Heir of Perdition, you can now turn any Unique into a Mythic, greatly enhancing their Unique effects by 30%. You may be wondering how you can craft your very own Mythic Uniques, which is why this guide will show you the material you need and where to find it.
New Crafting Material: Pandemonium Fragments
Pandemonium Fragments are used for the Horadric Cube to upgrade a Unique item into a Mythic. These can only be found in Pandemonium Ruptures, which is the new seasonal activity. Normal Ruptures have a chance to appear in the open world, Surging Ruptures in Helltides, and Colossal Ruptures in world boss events.
To complete a Rupture, you must kill the guardians around the Death’s Head Idols to open the Rupture. Killing monsters and sealing Tears around the Rupture will keep it open for much longer, which increases the rewards you gain after the activity. Rupture Goblins will also have a chance to appear, which opens more Tears and can cascade even more rewards.
You can obtain Pandemonium Fragments early on by completing the Seasonal Reputation track, which can also give you a class-specific Mythic Unique.
Realmwalker Update
These colossal monsters have returned to Sanctuary and are tied to the Rupture activity. Realmwalkers have a chance to appear in normal Ruptures, with an improved chance on Surging Ruptures and guaranteed on Colossal Ruptures. Defeating the Realmwalker will open a portal to the Deathtoll Chamber mini dungeon. This dungeon has the highest chance to drop the Betrayer’s Husk lair key.
The Corrupted Reaper Lair Boss
A new Lair boss will appear in Pandemonium’s Threshold’s entrance in Zarbinzet and is unlocked once you reach Torment 1. The Corrupted Reaper’s reward chest uses the Betrayer’s Husk key and will be your best source of Mythic Uniques and Pandemonium Fragments.
Turning Uniques into Mythics
To craft one, you will need 5 Pandemonium Fragments and a Unique of your choice. Place them in the Horadric Cube and transmute them. This should modify your Unique into a Mythic with a 30% increase in its Unique effect. Take note that you can only equip one crafted Mythic Unique at a time, so choose wisely which Unique you want to enhance.
