As a third-person shooter, having the right crosshair will drastically increase your overall accuracy when securing souls or kills. Deadlock follows in the footsteps of Counter-Strike Global Offensive by having an in-depth crosshair customizer with many sliders and even RGB options to choose from. Though it can be hard to find one that works, there are many set options that pro players use for the best clarity. Here are some of the best crosshairs you can try out for yourself.
How To Change Your Crosshair
Deadlock has a dedicated crosshair customizer in the game’ settings. From there, the reticle sliders include options for gap, width, height and pip opacity for the crosshair. For the dot, there’s dot opacity and its outline opacity. As for the colors, there are red, green and blue sliders to create certain colors.
Alternatively, you can go to this site called Deadlock Crosshair Generator and pick or create your own crosshair settings that make sense to you. Once you have your settings ready, click on “copy config” then open Deadlock. From there, press F7 to open the game’s console commands and copy the crosshair settings into the text bar. This should hard code your personal reticle settings into the game.
Shroud's Personal Crosshair
Shroud is a world-renowned professional player for CS: GO and Valorant. Ever since his arrival in Deadlock’s early alpha, he has ported his old crosshair settings into the game, with a dark blue color setting to make it stand out visually on the screen.

Dot Crosshair with Black Outline
This reticle setting is for players who prefer a bit more accuracy with their shots, especially when playing heroes like Grey Talon and Lady Geist. This makes it nearly non-intrusive on the screen but still provides information of where shots will land.

Green Dot Crosshair
Many serious FPS pros use the color green for their crosshair due to its bright and contrast against most map environments. This makes tracking or snapping to enemy targets much easier since this obscures an enemy’s silhouette. Use this if you want to match the pros.

Box Crosshair with Dot
Box crosshairs help players get a feel for the weapon’s bloom, along with a nice geometric shape to match the normally rectangular hitboxes of enemy targets. Deadlock does have a slight bloom mechanic for each hero’s guns, so this will help with staying on target even through sustained fire.

Classic Crosshair with Custom Color
For players who are already satisfied with Deadlock’s default crosshair but want to change the color to suit their needs or style, this setting should allow them to maintain its form, but fine tune the color values for better visibility in contrast to background environments.

Thin Crosshair
This setting is fairly balanced and provides players with information on what the target is doing and where shots are likely to land. While it isn’t very pinpoint accurate, it’s a good representative for heroes using shotguns like Mon and Krill and Pocket and Shiv, as there’s the length of each pip shot where the pellets will land.

Orange Reticle
This reticle setting is for players who prefer to simply land their targets anywhere on a hitbox without worrying too much about securing headshots. This is great for heroes like Haze, Bebop, McGinnis and Wraith, who use fully automatic weapons with builds for more rate of fire and gun damage.
