Deadlock, Valve’s up and coming 6v6 MOBA shooter, blends the strategy of MOBAs with the precision of shooters. Currently in early development and only playable via invite, the game is already generating buzz as a rising competitive title. With Ranked mode in the mix, players are eager to grind for the top spots. Valve has set many restrictions when it comes to Ranked mode. First, unlocking the mode requires a total of 50 standard matches completed before jumping into Ranked. Ranked mode will only have solo queueing, meaning that both teams will be playing with randoms.

Many players neglect the need to farm Souls to buy damage items like Lucky Shot, Boundless Spirit, Fortitude, and others. This is why getting souls through farming lane minions and jungle camps is a vital skill to improving in Deadlock.
Not only that, but team play is also another key skill. As each team has its damage dealers and supports, it's important to coordinate strategies on killing the enemy Walker, contesting the Rejuvenator, capturing the Spirit Urn, and pushing for the enemy Patron.
While individual skill helps with winning in Deadlock, it all boils down to macro play and strategic map awareness. The game rewards players who decisively take map objectives like the Guardians, Walkers and Shrines.
