Deadlock’s heroes defy traditional MOBA roles, as everyone has a unique playstyle with some room for flexibility through item builds. Some characters have risen in win rate thanks to their kits' powerful utility. Here are the current rankings for all of Deadlock’s heroes.
S-Tier
Silver
Her entire skill kit may require a greater mechanical skill and execution than most, since her ultimate only activates when you deal enough gun or melee damage. If played right, Silver can turn fights around with her Werewolf form, giving her extra health in a pinch with new skills that give lifesteal, disarm, and debuffs.
Celeste
She covers a lot of roles: Frontliner, crowd-controller, assassin. She even comes with a hidden passive that grants reduced gravity while in the air, allowing her to rapidly rotate lanes or escape from fights. As for her damage, she can build a gun/spirit hybrid that can burst down enemies, while her second and third skills give her extra survivability.
Shiv
Much of Shiv’s power comes from his ult, giving him an insta-kill execute. When upgraded, he can easily snowball teamfights to the point of ending a game. He also comes with a passive that prevents burst damage thanks to Bloodletting. Shiv’s secondary fire can also be used as a nifty movement tool to escape fights or take higher elevation more quickly.
Abrams
Despite his simplicity, Abrams is a very safe pick as he can easily build into a tank while still outputting good damage. His passive alone makes him extremely tough to kill, while his slam and lifesteal aura let him initiate fights without sacrificing too much health. He’s easy to pick up and can still bring value with his CC in teamfights.
Rem
Rem is one of the best supports, as he can dish out serious healing. Despite his role as a support, he can still cause serious damage with his pillow. His helpers also allow him to practically steal the enemy’s Sinner's Sacrifice machine, thanks to them. Rem’s ult is a powerful CC ability that puts enemies to sleep, potentially winning fights in his team’s favor.
Mo and Krill
The dynamic duo has one of the punishing ultimates in the game, locking down a hero in place for a duration, guaranteeing their death in a teamfight. Mo and Krill have one of the most tank-initiator-oriented playstyles.
A-Tier
Billy
Billy’s kit revolves around dealing heavy melee attacks and forcing the enemy team to fight on his terms. He is a solid initiator hero, but he requires knowledge of the game’s melee and parry dynamic, as most players should expect to parry him when fighting against him. If he can overcome this weakness, Billy can become a powerful burst damage hero, too.
Mina
Mina has the best burst damage in the game with her Love Bites and melee ability that deals missing health as damage. However, she is also fragile, with a lower base health, making her a veritable glass cannon. To compensate, she has two movement abilities with her float and Sanguine Retreat. While she can be easily killed, she is agile enough to avoid ganks in the first place.
Lady Geist
Lady Geist can be a menace in the laning phase, as she can bully and zone out her enemy laners with her Essence Bomb. She can also directly lifesteal from her enemies with Life Drain and even swap health bars using Soul Exchange. While she can be annoying in the early game, she requires a bit more effort in the late game to truly carry her team.
Lash
He is a powerful hero who can decide games for his team, but his high skill floor and ceiling make him a daunting character to pick up and learn. However, his Death Slam ultimate is one of the best playmaking abilities in the game. Once you learn how to play Lash and master him, he can be bumped up to S-tier.
Drifter
Drifter is THE roaming hero in Deadlock, as his abilities are tailored for hunting down isolated players and gaining permanent weapon damage for killing them. This, however, means that Drifter cannot stay in lane for too long, since he won’t reach his powerspikes through his passive. Like the others in A-tier, good players can mitigate this weakness and turn it into a snowball for their team.
Haze
If you want a classic gun-based hero, Haze is a solid pick for playing a hard carry. Her kit revolves around applying Fixation stacks to enemies with her guns, increasing the affected target's bullet damage. Her Sleep Dagger is a quick crowd-control skillshot that sets them up to take more damage. However, because she is the hard carry, most teams try to shut her down early. Farming is a priority for Haze as she is very weak in the early game, but becomes extremely powerful if she reaches her powerspikes.
