The Ultimate Guide to Modern Warfare 3 Season 1
Since the latest Call of Duty game is now available globally, players are already turning their heads to its first season and battle pass. Considering that MW3 was only released a few days ago, we’re still exploring all its new content, including many new weapons and the return of some fan-favorite features like all the Modern Warfare 2 2009 maps, the slide cancel, and more.
If MW3 is anything like its predecessors, we can expect its battle pass to be made up of 1,400 Call of Duty points and around 20 sectors. Regardless, there should be plenty to keep you playing for months. While we wait for any official news about Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 1, here’s what we know about it so far.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Release Date
The first season of Modern Warfare 3 is set to arrive sometime in December 2023. The developers haven’t revealed an exact date yet, but we think it’ll be released on December 6, when Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 Season 6 wraps up.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Battle Pass
We still don’t know much about MW3’s Season 1. Moreover, no official pricing has been revealed by Activision as of yet. However, if we go off the pricing of the battle passes from the previous Call of Duty games, we can expect the Season 1 battle pass to cost around 1,000 Call of Duty Points (the price may vary according to your country’s currency).
If you’re one of the folks who grabbed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition, you’ll gain access to the battle pass at no extra cost when it releases.

Three of these weapons will reportedly arrive at launch, while the other two will likely be featured in the Reloaded update.
We’ll also get new Operators and camos in the battle pass. Additionally, Operator bundles are expected to go live soon in the in-game store. Leading up to Modern Warfare 3, Sledgehammer Games released some fantastic Operator bundles leading up to the now-released title, with iconic superstars such as Nikki Minaj and 21 Savage getting Operator skins a few months back.
As with any leaks, this information should be taken with a grain of salt until there’s an official announcement from the developers.
Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play Release Date
The fan-favorite Ranked Player should eventually make its way to Modern Warfare 3 Season 1. Sledgehammer hasn’t confirmed this, but they did hint that the next Ranked Play for COD would arrive during Season 1. With that information in mind, we can safely predict a late December or early January release date for that.
Season 1 could also bring us more tidbits about MW3’s seasonal prestige system. We’d personally love to see the return of Black Ops Cold War’s prestige system make a return, considering it offered a perfect blend of seasonal prestiges. But for now, everything’s up in the air until the devs give us more info about it.
When to Expect More News About Modern Warfare 3 Season 1
While the leaks and educated guesses can get you hyped up, they should not always be taken seriously until we hear from Activision or Sledgehammer. We’ll probably know more about Modern Warfare Season 1 and the future of its DMZ mode towards the end of November.
