The Frozen Trail update adds a new map condition called the Frigate, a massive ARC ship that holds some of the game's most valuable loot, especially Amplification Modules. This map condition can be tough to capitalize on, but this guide will help you navigate the Frigate and grab some of the best loot in the game currently.
Best Loadout
Before attempting to board the ship, bring two other players with you or ask for help from other Raiders during the raid. You will need to bring:
- Anti-ARC weapons: (Hullcracker, Jupiter, Anvil)
- Snaphook
- Plenty of meds
- Ammo
- Optional: Photoelectric Cloak
Boarding The Frigate
The Frigate appears in Blue Gate, Space Port, Buried City, Dam Battlegrounds, or Pendola Pass. When the Frigate spawns, it hovers over a section of the map and releases round drones that stay near the ground. Climb onto the drone and disrupt it with your breaching tool. Ride the drone until it reaches the Frigate's main platform.
If you need to leave the Frigate, you can go back to the drone platform and disrupt another drone to return to ground safely.
Puzzle Objective
Your main objective on the Frigate is to destroy all power cores around the ship to open the cargo bay doors. After entering the cargo bay, destroy more power cores and shoot the yellow panels around the Frigate to loosen the cargo, then drop it to the ground for a ton of loot.
Power Core Location
Once you’re on the drone platform, run into the vent to drop down to the ship's lower hull. There are two Move Up buttons on the hull that activate a lift when pressed at the same time, so you will need three players: two to press the buttons and one to get on the lift. The player on the lift should then press the top button to bring the other two up.
At the upper deck, there will be a ton of Wasps, Rocketeers, and a Hydra turret that will shred you if you’re in its line of sight. Destroy all the ARC and shoot at the yellow panels on the walls of the deck. These will open up platforms that have lootable breach spots.
Once the area is clear, have the other Raiders look for Move Up buttons near the central power core on the deck and press them at the same time to reveal glowing coil weakspots. There will also be two coils above the main power core that you also need to shoot.
Fire Loot Rooms
The ship also contains rooms near the vents that will occasionally be set on fire. These rooms have some valuable loot breaches, and you can disable the fire trap inside. To disable them, you will need to breach open the power coils on the side and shoot them before the fire trap activates again.
