Best Weapon Amplification Skill Paths in ARC Raiders

Weapon amplification in ARC Raiders requires an Amplification Module, which you can only get from the Frigate and Fallen Emperor map conditions and by completing research challenges. Using these to upgrade your weapon unlocks a new skill tree with unique ammo types, attachments, and other special upgrades that completely change the base weapon. Since Amplification Modules are rare, here are the best weapon amps to build a strong loadout.

Anvil

X-Rounds

PvE / ARC Armor

Fires explosive projectiles, dealing slightly more damage to Raiders and much more damage to ARC armor.

Why Use X-Rounds?

This Anvil upgrade makes it an extremely powerful PvE weapon, as it can easily strip ARC armor while still damaging its inner components.

Aphelion

Recommended Amplifications

PvE and PvP

Bigger Mag

Adds more magazine capacity.

Charged Burst

Gives the weapon a charge-up function, adding 2 more projectiles to the burst on full charge, but reducing base damage by 2.5.

Increased Burst

Adds an extra 2 projectiles to the burst.

Incendiary Rounds

Shots deal 5 burn damage per second with a 2-second duration.

Why Use These Amps?

With these Amps, the Aphelion becomes a powerful generalist weapon for both PvE and PvP. With extra projectiles on a charged burst, it can one-burst Raiders even with a Heavy shield, and the extra burn damage finishes off weakened Raiders. It also performs well against ARCs, with the burst applying tons of burn stacks to melt their health.

Bettina

Recommended Amplifications

PvE / ARC Armor

Semi-Auto

Converts the fire rate to semi-automatic. Adds 4 damage and reduces max shot dispersion by 20%.

X-Rounds

Fires explosive projectiles, dealing slightly more damage to Raiders and much more damage to ARC armor.

Why Use These Amps?

The reduction to the Bettina's fire rate and magazine capacity is a worthy trade for the amount of damage this weapon can deal against ARCs. X-Rounds give the Bettina potent armor strip and Semi-Auto with extra damage.

Burletta / Kettle

Full Auto

Close-Range PvP

Converts the fire rate to full auto. Reduces base damage by -2 and headshot damage multipliers by 60%.

Why Use Full Auto?

Because these weapons are lower rarity, their Amp costs are extremely cheap, with minimal research requirements. With Full Auto, both the Burletta and the Kettle shred most Raiders at close range, match the Bobcat's performance, and cost less to build.

Equalizer

Recommended Amplifications

Bigger Mag

Adds more magazine capacity.

Ramping Damage

The Equalizer deals more damage as the beam stays on target.

Why Use These Amps?

Both mods substantially increase the Equalizer's DPS on ARCs when used as intended. Bigger Mag lets you sustain the beam, which triggers the Ramping Damage effect.

Alternative to consider: Anti-Weak Point only works in cases when a weak point is available, which usually isn't until an ARC's armor is removed.

Hullcracker

Recommended Amplifications

Damage over Time / Reload Convenience

Incendiary Grenades

Adds 11.25 damage per second burn effect up to 5 seconds, but reduces projectile damage by 40% and projectile velocity by 50%.

Mag Reload

Grenades are loaded all at once instead of one at a time.

Why Use These Amps?

The projectile damage reduction may seem like a downgrade for the Hullcracker, but the fire DoT deals much more damage without forcing you to expose yourself from cover. With the Mag Reload amp, it drastically improves the weapon's QoL so you can start shooting sooner.

Il Toro

Slug Rounds

Medium- to Long-Range PvE / PvP

Projectiles deal 900% more damage and 200% damage against ARC armor. Grants 40% less spread but 50% less projectile velocity.

Why Use Slug Rounds?

This amp converts Il Toro's pellet spread into a single, high-damage slug. With this mod, the weapon becomes a powerful medium- to long-range DMR for both PvE and PvP.

Jupiter

Recommended Amplifications

Bigger Mag

Adds more magazine capacity.

Scoped

Adds a scope to the weapon.

Why Use These Amps?

The Scope amp is a huge QoL feature for sniping targets in PvE and PvP, as it greatly improves your overall accuracy. This also comes with the Bigger Mag amp, letting you put more shots downrange for more DPS.

Osprey

Choose Your Build

BEST FOR PVP

Tracker Rounds

Projectiles are replaced with a tracking dart, revealing targets hit by the dart for 5 seconds, but reducing projectile velocity by 60%.

BEST FOR PVE

Anti-Weak Point

Shots deal 100% more damage to ARC weak points, but deal less damage to ARC armor.

Why Use These Amps?

Depending on your playstyle, you can fit the Osprey as a PvP weapon with Tracker Rounds or a PvE ARC killer with Anti-Weak Point. Both Amps are extremely potent in either situation, so choose the one that suits the lobbies you're in.

Rattler

Recommended Amplifications

More Reload

+2 bullets loaded per reload.

Drum Mag

+40 magazine size (64 rounds total), +50% vertical and horizontal recoil, +30% max shot dispersion, and 10% slower ADS.

Requires More Reloads

Why Use These Amps?

These two Amps essentially remove the Rattler's glaring ammo issues, turning this extremely cheap weapon into a viable close-range PvP option. Due to its low rarity, the Amplification cost makes it fairly easy to replace.
