Some guns in Arc Raiders excel both against the robotic Arc enemies, but also against other raiders with high DPS, range, and performance. Since you have a limited inventory space, you need to figure out which weapons you should loot and use as your main weapon. This guide will talk about every weapon in Arc Raiders and rank them from best to worst.
PvE Legendary Weapons
Both the Equalizer and Jupiter weapons are the most powerful in Arc Raider, but only for the PvE side. The Equalizer is a laser beam weapon that melts through Arc armor, while the Jupiter is a railgun that penetrates heavy armor.
However, both weapons have the worst handling, making them very bad in PvP. Against PvE bosses like The Queen, these weapons can let you solo them when they’re usually meant to be fought as a group.
S-Tier: Renegade
The Renegade is a lever-action rifle with high damage, good ammo capacity, accuracy, and headshot damage, making it the perfect DMR weapon in your arsenal. This weapon excels at both PvE and PvP and is very easy to use. Even at level 1 with no upgrades, the Renegade can reliably kill most targets.
S-Tier: Osprey
This bolt-action sniper has the second-highest damage per shot and high muzzle velocity, turning it into one of the best long-range weapons in the game. Since most maps in Arc Raiders have plenty of open areas, the Osprey is a must-have weapon for the game.
S-Tier: Tempest
The Tempest is your classic assault rifle, with a stable fire rate, recoil, damage, and a 30-round magazine. Compared to all other assault rifles in the game, this is by far the best-performing weapon, especially if you've used an assault rifle in any other shooter. You can never go wrong with having a Tempest in your loadout.
S-Tier: Torrente
The Torrente is an LMG, featuring a high magazine capacity and full auto capability, with the downside of being inaccurate unless you crouch. Despite this, the Torrente is highly versatile, as the inaccuracy won't matter in close fights, while crouching in cover makes it decent at medium range.
S-Tier: Il Torro
The Il Torro is the classic pump-action shotgun, complete with high spread, high damage up close, and a per-round reload. Of course, the Il Torro is the best weapon to use in tight areas and can burst down a raider in just a couple of shots. When paired with a longer ranged weapon, the Il Torro becomes a perfect backup option when chasing a raid into a small building.
S-Tier: Vulcano
Like the Torrente, the Vulcano is a pump-action shotgun but comes with a tighter pellet spread than the former, at the cost of a steeper damage fall-off range. This makes the Vulcano very good at landing headshot kills in close range.
S-Tier: Venator
The Venator is by far the most reliable sidearm you can get in Arc Raiders, as it strikes the perfect balance between fire rate and damage. It's also accurate at close range, which can be great for securing kills when you run out of ammo on your primary.
A-Tier: Bobcat
The Bobcat is the only submachine gun in Arc Raiders, being a fully automatic weapon with a high fire rate but terribly inaccurate beyond close range. When competing with the other close-range options, it outputs higher DPS, but requires you to fight its recoil to kill a raider in one mag. If you can get past its inaccuracy, it can be a great CQC option.
A-Tier: Anvil
The Anvil is a veritable magnum with its high damage per shot, low fire rate, and high recoil. For a sidearm, it’s extremely powerful and can be great in the right hands, but it requires a lot of practice with its recoil to be effective with the Anvil.
A-Tier: Kettle
The Kettle is a semi-automatic rifle that outputs good damage against both players and Arcs. It uses Light Ammo, so ammo is plentiful for this weapon. While it has a low muzzle velocity, making it hard to use at long range, it can burst down enemies if you can tap the trigger.
A-Tier: Rattler
One of the few fully automatic guns in the game, the Rattler at base has an extremely low magazine capacity and is reloaded 2 bullets at a time. While this may be annoying to use at the start, you can upgrade this weapon with a higher mag size, making it a solid AR.
A-Tier: Ferro
This bolt-action rifle puts out a lot of damage per shot, even at level 1, and is great for sniping at distant targets. However, it has the glaring issue of being reloaded after every shot, which makes securing PvP kills difficult unless you carry a good secondary to follow up. In PvE, it's reliable enough to strip down an Arc’s armor.
B-Tier: Stitcher
The Stitcher is a decent sidearm for PvP and can kill a raider within one magazine, if it's fully upgraded and comes with attachments. In PvE, it struggles greatly to output damage. Otherwise, it’s a somewhat middling weapon at base and is good if you can’t find other weapons.
B-Tier: Arpeggio
The Arpeggio is a 3-round burst rifle that has a short delay between bursts, which severely cuts down the DPS potential for this weapon. Against full auto weapons or anything in close range, the Arpeggio struggles to secure kills.
D-Tier: Hairpin
The Hairpin is a bolt-action pistol that fires way too slowly for the damage it deals and has poor range. It’s not good in either PvP or PvE scenarios, and you should immediately switch to another weapon.
D-Tier: Burletta
The Burletta’s damage output is too low to use in PvP, let alone in PvE, even with its fast fire rate. Even if you were extremely precise with your shots, the Burletta cannot reliably kill any targets.
