Farming Silver in Albion Online can get confusing for new players because of the wide variety of methods available. Players can earn lots of Silver regardless of which path they pursue, whether it's PvP or just gathering and crafting. This diversity allows players to embrace the roleplay aspects of the game, as they can earn a lot of Silver by gathering without ever having to engage in PvP. This guide will break down the fastest and safest methods of farming Silver.

Before Getting Started

  • A Premium account is not required, but it would greatly help, thanks to its benefits:
    • +50% Fame
    • +50% Gathering Yield
    • +100% Farming Yield
    • 10,000 daily Focus points
    • 50% reduced market tax
  • Joining a large active guild is rewarding. Guild members are usually willing to help, and membership can provide access to the guild island for laborers and farmers. With the added benefit of having cheaper taxes on refining/crafting stations.
  • Choose one skill to specialize in before leveling another skill.

Faction PvPvE (High Risk, High Reward)

Thanks to the Realm Divided update, faction gameplay has become extremely lucrative. Sieges and defenses are constantly happening, and with them, many opportunities for farming Silver. Players have reported earning anywhere between 1-3M Silver/hour.

Faction Point Conversion

As long as you are flagged for your faction, every action done within an active Yellow/Red Zone will earn you points for your faction. You can exchange these points with your faction recruiter for your Faction Hearts (crafting item) and sell them on the market.

Smuggler Crates (Great for Solo Ratting)

Delivering Smuggler Crates is a very straightforward way of farming Silver in Albion Online. It involves minimal setup and is the ideal ‘rat’ activity. This activity requires the player to pick up Smuggler Crates from certain locations, then deliver them to any drop-off point. All the player needs to be efficient in this activity is a really good, mobility-focused build. Smuggler Crate farming can earn the player about 1-2M Silver/hour, depending on efficiency.

Corrupted Dungeon Farming (Main Solo Content)

These Dungeons can be accessed through overworld portals and are instanced. Players need to kill monsters and loot chests to gain enough Infamy to spawn the final boss of the dungeon. CDs are available in multiple tiers, with varying rewards for each. During the run, players can get invaded by other players, essentially forcing PVP.

Hunter (Yellow Zone CDs)

The easiest and safest zone for new players. PVP in this dungeon is not full loot and only results in the player getting knocked out of the dungeon. A very safe and consistent method to farm silver for new players, averaging roughly 350k Silver or more per 5-10 Dungeon runs.

Stalker/Slayer (Red/Black Zone CDs)

These Dungeons can vary widely in rewards. While most of the gameplay for CDs still applies here, the biggest difference is Full loot PVP. Some players have reported earning 5M Silver/hour, and others even higher, but it all depends on your ability to PVP.

Blue Zone Hide Gathering (Easy, Safe, Consistent)

By far the safest and easiest way to farm Silver is through Hide gathering in Blue Zones. This method can generate over 600k Silver/hour, depending on your efficiency. Reaching peak efficiency for this activity requires significant setup. Players will need to invest in Avalonian gear and reach T8 gathering to maximize the rewards.

Item Flipping (Merchant Simulator)

This method of farming Silver fundamentally changes the way you play the game. It involves buying items from the local market and then transporting them to the black market in Caerleon. This method can be inconsistent, as players would need to place an initial investment for the flips. Payouts are not guaranteed as Caerleon is surrounded by Red Zones. However, if done properly, the rewards can be massive. Players have reported earning about 1M-6M Silver/hour; this venture can be highly profitable but also requires some setup to operate efficiently.

Gathering and Crafting (Safe and Grindy)

Lastly, gathering and crafting are the main ways to generate Silver for PVE players. It involves focusing on a single resource you want to specialize in and dedicating hours to it at a time. Gathering in lower-tier zones can net 500k-1M Silver/hour, depending on player build. In higher-tier zones, this can be doubled, reaching 2M Silver/hour. Maximizing this type of content requires players to have laborers and journals to supplement their income.
