Raising your item level and combat power through endgame activities is key to progressing toward the high-end raids in Aion 2. This means grinding for dungeon gear, enhancing it, and taking on harder content for even better gear. While leveling from 1 to 45 is easy, learning Aion 2's gearing system and progression will make your endgame journey smoother.
Pre-Item Level 1000: Early Game to Level Cap Guide
Leveling is easy enough; the main story quests and side content will get you to the level 45 cap. However, once you reach max level, you will need to worry about your Item Level and Combat Power.
Item Level sets the minimum requirement for every activity, while Combat Power determines your effective character stat for endgame dungeons and raids, since you will need to meet DPS checks for boss enrages and have enough health to survive raid-wide attacks.
Your first priority should be completing every Regional Quest and Sealed Dungeon in the game, as these reward you with Daevanion Crystals. You can use these to allocate passive stats on your Daevanion Board, which contributes to your overall Item Level and Combat Power. Regional Quests also grant Clash Runes, which contribute greatly because they provide raw PvE damage and defensive stats.
Reaching Item Level 1000
Getting Unique gear is a primary goal, as it's the baseline for starting the endgame. You can get this gear best by challenging Draupnir under Expeditions, since it guarantees a Unique item drop after you clear it 3 times.
If you complete the MSQ, you will also get the Ascension Bracelet, a Unique item that can serve as your mainstay bracelet for a long time. Once you reach gear upgrade, prioritize enhancing this item to +5 first.
Item Level 1000-1400
The gear enhancing system will be your primary way to reach 1400 Item Level once you reach 1000. Since enhancement rates drop at higher upgrade tiers, you can farm Enhance Stones by clearing Rifts that occasionally spawn in the open world.
While you can keep raising your item level by upgrading your gear with Enhance Stones, you can still earn more Daevanion Crystals through the Shugo Festival minigames or Nightmare bosses, which have special shops that sell the crystals.
Item Level 1400-1600
From here, the next set of gear you need to reach 1600 drops from Urugugu Canyon (weapons/accessories) and Vakron Sky Island (armor). Upgrade the gear you get from these Expeditions to at least +5 and up to +10 at max until you reach Item Level 1600.
Item Level 1600-1900
By this point, start doing Transcendence content like Shattered Arkanis and Deus Research Base to earn Arcana cards, another stat system that contributes even more to your Item Level. Each slotted card grants 40 iLvl. If you fill all 5 Arcana card slots, you get the equivalent of 200 iLvl. You can round out to 1900 by getting EVERY 2-star Expedition gear to +5.
Item Level 1900-2100
The easiest way to reach 2100 iLvl is to do the Stage 2 version of Shattered Arkanis and Deus Research Station, since they drop upgraded Arcana cards that each have 80 iLvl, essentially doubling your Arcana iLvl from 40.
Item Level 2100-2800
Ferocious Horn Den and Fire Temple are the last Conquests you need to clear for the best gear to reach iLvl 2800. As always, once you loot every item, upgrade them all to +20. If you reach the 2200 mark, you can also do Stage 3 of Transcendence for Unique Arcana cards for an even greater power boost. Your penultimate goal is to reach iLvl 2800 for Abyssal Forge: Ludra for the best lootable gear.
Crafting BiS Gear iLvl 2800+
Items with the highest iLvl in the game are only obtainable through crafting, with some materials only obtainable through the Abyssal Forge. Crafting will be the final step to gearing and will get you the most
