Best Class to Use in AION 2

Best Overall: Gladiator

The Gladiator is your standard warrior class found in almost every RPG. Gladiators are relatively durable and can deal insane damage. But the class truly shines in its easy skill rotation and crowd-control chain. This makes the class useful in almost any situation thanks to CC, and it's also a perfect starting class for new players.

Gladiators have great damage, great durability, and amazing utility, all with easy-to-understand rotations. As a result, the class excels in both PvE and PvP while keeping up with other classes in the late game.

The class revolves around self-buffs that reduce incoming damage or increase damage output, letting you maintain constant DPS on enemies. Gladiators also have access to several valuable gap-closing skills like Rush Strike and Leaping Slam, which let players maintain offensive pressure even after getting crowd-controlled in PvE and PvP.

Best Solo Class: Ranger

The Ranger is the ranged equivalent of the Gladiator. It is a straightforward, ranged-focused class that is amazing at dealing damage. As a Ranger, you deal consistent and burst damage while providing some team utility.

But the class truly shines when played solo. Ranged attacks let you kite your enemies while staying healthy and mobile. Because of this, the class is amazing in both PvE and PvP. However, it does come with a significant drawback. Rangers are inherently squishy and are extremely vulnerable up close. Losing ranged advantage makes you a sitting duck, which is why the class suits more experienced players.

Other Classes

The other classes in AION 2 are all viable for general gameplay. However, you can view them more as specializations than as general-use classes. Paladins are amazing in group content thanks to their tankiness. Meanwhile, Assassins can deal tons of burst damage for PvP enthusiasts but can struggle in PvE content. The same applies to the remaining classes; they excel in certain areas but also fall short in others.
